This was a great find. Enjoyed two small plates (shared by 3 people)- the Burrata and the Yellowfin tuna. Both were excellent. The steak option and the salmon were both good for dinner but one of us ordered the Gem Salad with grilled chicken- the salad was ok. The grilled chicken, however, was served on the side, was very thin, dry and tasted like fish (maybe the same grill?). My daughter ordered the parm fries as a side and those were delicious, as well, and served with garlic aioli. We also shared two desserts - seasonal sorbet and the flourless chocolate cake- we really enjoyed both! Our server could have, perhaps, provided a little more guidance with the menu and the salad was not good, but everything else was. When all is said and done, we would go back when we’re in that neighborhood again. Cheers!

The food wasn’t very good. The lemon olive oil cake was super dry. The fish, branzino I think, was nothing special. The peppercorn steak was so peppered and spicy that my guest couldn’t eat it. Every time I’ve dined here the food has been excellent but this time it wasn’t. We also had to work hard to flag down our server several times.

The restaurant is lovely, the food delicious and the service quite wonderful, tho the seating is quite uncomfortable, with very little legroom beneath the table and chairs too heavy to move easily. One glass of house wine cost $23. The menu is extremely limited, and the entrées are all "designer types ", with exotic spices and tiny portions. My order, Morrocan flavored salmon, was pretty good, but dry. The bars, on the other hand, are beautiful, plentiful and overflowing with enthusiastic customers. The restaurant is designed for the bar clientele and I'm sure it does well because of that.

Overall a great experience. The hostess acted like us showing up was an annoyance which I found more humorous but some might not. I passed it off to out of town guests as “that’s the typical snobby greeting.” Wait staff needed a little more experience. The overall service was good but one of my companions had never eaten Mediterranean food before. Instead over going over the menu, she just left us to our own defenses. In a place like this, on oak street, you would expect your server to ask if you’ve visited before and if no- spend a little time with the customers to go over the menu. It entices people to come back. You can have just okay food but if you’re wait staff is awesome, it elevates the experience. Or you can be at a pricey upscale place and not get that and it ruins the experience. You are paying for the experience as much as for the food. Having eaten at a different restaurant the previous night with a great hostess and wait staff, it was a bit of a let down. The food was great - mostly. We got the prix fixe dinner with the mezze tasting enhancement. Most were great, however, the Baba Ghanoush was so salty we could not eat it. It tasted like half a bottle of salt was added to the top. Everyone enjoyed their dinner. We all got the lemon and olive oil cake. Sounds like it should be moist ( got it no one likes that word) but it was dry and SO salty. I don’t get it. Why so much salt? My two companions ate one bite each. I tried a couple more to see if I could find any part that wasn’t dry. It was a let down since it was the last thing you’ll remember. We asked for the check and then when they brought it, they tried to pour me another glass of wine? I didn’t ask for it. There seemed to be a push to add more to the bill. They pushed for us to add a second enhancement in the beginning, asked us if we wanted more bread as if it was complimentary( like most places), and then the glass of wine. It impacted the overall experience.

My weekend dining experience at Fig & Olive was absolutely delightful! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was inviting and chic, setting the perfect tone for a memorable meal. The service was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Each dish we ordered was a culinary masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The quality of ingredients was evident in every bite. I especially loved the Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, which offered a fresh and modern take on classic dishes. The cocktails were also fantastic, crafted with care and creativity. Overall, Fig & Olive exceeded my expectations in every way. It's the ideal spot for a special occasion or a casual weekend treat. I can't wait to return!

Our waitress was very slow, they ran out of the wine we ordered (7 pm on a Friday??) and overall the food was average for what we paid

Beautiful restaurant with comfortable seating. The bar has every possible liquor imaginable. Excellent service. The food was delicious.
