   The drinks were okay, the octopus came out VERY over cooked. Half rack of lamp was VERY under cooked, as if seared each side for 10 seconds. Would not recommend anyone to come, will not be coming back.

   Needed a nice and easy place for dinner before an early morning flight. Field and Flame with its happy hour options provided just that. Great food. Great service. Great ambiance. They were having issues with the bill and happy hour prices and the resolution took much longer than it should have. But, without asking, part of the bill was comp’d which really wasn’t necessary but showed they cared about customer service. A definite recommendation.

   Beautifully decorated space. Varied and interesting menu. Many of the dishes have Mediterranean or Turkish influences, and the food that I had was deliciously prepared. Because the restaurant is fairly new, I felt like they are still getting up to speed with their service. The Cesar Salad with marmalade bacon was wonderful. The housemade pappardelle was delicious, and the pistacio tiramisu was very tasty!  Overall, I would definitely recommend.

   I think the waiter lost our order for 8 people. We were on lunch break and didn’t have time for a 90 minute lunch.

   We enjoyed our evening at Field n Flame. They are a new establishment and we did experience some of their growing pains. However we truly enjoyed some of their small plates. The Lentil Bites are incredible. We also enjoyed the Filet Mignon Skewers and the Pistachio Tiramisu.

   Wow!! From the seating to the final sip of Turkish coffee, the Field-n-Flame experience was exceptional. Our server, Valerie was friendly and efficient..we never felt rushed or neglected. Our party of four tried the Halibut crudo, and zucchini fritters which were delicious, especially the creamy sauce on the crudo. Our entrees, steelhead, rib-eye, and pappardelle were prepared with skill and, again, amazing sauces. I alerted Valerie that it was my wife’s birthday as we were seated, and were treated to a large slice of tiramisu, plenty for the four of us. Field-n-Flame is a new edition to the Midtown Sacramento food scene and we spun the wheel at came up winners. We shall return…hungry for more!!
