Fía is top rate from start to finish. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff, innovative menu, and delicious food. The Visalia onion and fennel soup was unique and delicately seasoned. We enjoyed the branzini accompanied by amazing braised Brussels sprouts and grilled asparagus. The restaurant is located in the lush lobby of the Burgess Hotel. A lovely welcoming entrance.

Made a 10:30 reservation on Mothers Day for 5 people. Arrived at 10:33, was seated by 10:45. Server visited our table for the first time by 10:55. We started watching the time because we couldn’t believe how bad the service was. At 10:55 we ordered coffee and placed our brunch order. At 11:07 the coffee arrived, but the server didn’t bring cream/sugar and didn’t come back for at least 5 minutes with cream/sugar so I asked for a new hot cup of coffee and that came about 5 minutes later. At 11:50 the table of people seated next to us were having the same experience and they got up and left. At 11:55 we never had a server come by and give us an order update or even ask if we wanted another cup of coffee. I decided to find the server and told him we were done waiting and we were ready to leave. He did apologize and then told me 100 people were sat at the same time and every restaurant in Atlanta was like this. There were about 7 tables seated and most had already finished their food. Maybe 3 tables were waiting for food…maybe 12-16 people. Anyways, I asked to pay my check and he said he didn’t want to charge me for the coffee. We walked out without any food after 80+ minutes. We ordered waffles and omelets - pretty simple. I can’t remember the last time I walked out of a restaurant without food. This place had horrible service….horrible!!!

When we arrived, one table in the restaurant was occupied, we were welcomed warmly and seated immediately right by the cooking area! It took 20 minutes to receive the cocktails we ordered and over one hour to be served the meals we ordered! One server was extremely kind and the other server was extremely rude!! My poached eggs were way undercooked and my husbands French toast was burned! I have had wonderful dining experiences at FIA before! This time was very disappointing!!

Our dinner at Fia was delicious. Everything we had was so well done. The asparagus appetizer was excellent! We will definitely go back.

My wife and I have dined at FIA several times; our friends’ first time last night. They were beyond impressed. Always a pleasure. Beautiful space, great service excellent cuisine and wine selection.

Everything was great but was expecting a higher level of food quality. My husband had the center cut fillet and I had the tomahawk pork chop. Both were covered in heavy sauce and we couldn’t even taste the meat. The Tomahawk was the “Chefs” recommendation and it was dry barely chewable. The Center Cut was ordered Med rare but came out Medium. Both appetizers: The Octopus & Goat Cheese Tarte were amazing! The staff was OUTSTANDING! Just wish the food was better - it’s a great little place!

My experience at Fia last night left much to be desired. I've been eager to try this restaurant ever since I had a business meeting in a conference room at the Burgess Hotel, where Fia is located. The decor is undoubtedly unique and eclectic, creating a vibrant atmosphere that I thoroughly enjoyed. The clientele seemed to be primarily composed of customers in their 50s and up, mostly couples on dates with a few families sprinkled in. While I wanted to love this place, I left feeling underwhelmed, and I doubt I'll return for anything other than cocktails. Unfortunately, the service fell short of expectations. While our server was friendly, they seemed more like someone who simply delivered our food rather than a waiter who actively checked on us throughout the meal. Considering the upscale price point and ambiance of the restaurant, I expected a higher level of attentiveness. As for the food, it was a mixed bag. The meatballs were tender but overly curry-forward for my taste, leaving a lingering spice on my palate. The prawn was disappointingly overcooked and chewy, although it was accompanied by a refreshing citrus salad. The octopus, prepared sous vide, was surprisingly chewy and overcooked, and the excessive amount of capers on the plate was overwhelming. On a positive note, the scallops were perfectly cooked and paired well with the risotto, and the broccolini side was grilled to perfection and absolutely delicious. Overall, while Fia's ambiance and cocktails may warrant a return visit, the disappointing service and inconsistent food quality make it hard to justify dining there again.

Our server was excellent and didn’t miss a beat. I wish I could remember his name. His recommendations were fantastic and everything was delicious. Love the decor and ambience. The cocktails were amazing!

Our dinner was delicious! We have stayed at the Burgess several times but have never eaten it's Fia. I highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant!

Beautiful room and decor. Very upscale vibe. The food was not great and the prices were in the sky for the rather ordinary food. I wouldn't mind paying that price for something extraordinary. We ordered the banana's Foster and they did not flambe it at the table, so it was just an ice cream sundae with grainy caramel sauce rather than a show stopper. Because they did not flambe it, there was none of the rum flavor. Very disappointing.

2nd visit to Fia and it is a little gem! The drinks are amazing and the Branzino is prepared to perfection! The chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned and served over a bed of rice with raisins and almonds. In a word… delicious. I will definitely be back!

Food and service was delightful. My wife and I were staying at the Burgess - and had no idea how awesome this resturant is. We wound up eating there three times during our stay. Each meal was like the “best you’ve ever had” kind of experience. We highly recommend Fia and will dine there again when the opportunity arises.

We had not been to Fia in over a year due to an accident which kept us housebound. Now that we can get out we went back to Fia. It was just a good as we remembered a year ago. The food is delicious, the server was very good, and I spoke to one of the owners for a while. She and her husband have done an amazing job creating delicious meals and a beautiful atmosphere. We look forward to going back soon!

My wife and I have had the pleasure of dining at Fia several times. We brought four friends for their first experience. Everyone commented on how beautiful the hotel was upon entering, and how nicely appointed the restaurant was. Everyone raved about the food and the service. Outstanding experience!

We absolutely love the interior of the bar and library at the Burgess Hotel and the food at their restaurant, Fia. The beauty of the place, combined with great service and delicious food, wine, and cocktails are what keep us coming back. It was very crowded last night and food came out slow, but we did not mind as we were enjoying a date night out with friends. Overall, a lovely experience as always. We will be back!

Fia is a great date night or girls night restaurant. I went by myself in Valentines Day and it was really good. The service was poor but that’s okay. They seemed short staffed since my waiter was servicing the entire dining/lounge area by the bar, by himself. It was Vday as well so I understood. The ambiance and food was very well curated and I will definitely be coming back!

Excellent food, best we've eaten, nice ambience overall, despite being seated with glaring sun reflected from office windows onto our table, obvious to our server who made no attempt to remedy the discomfort. He also made no attempt to hide his impatience at our wishing to enjoy our wine and bread before ordering, making no less than 3 attempts for us to make a selection in the first 15 minutes of being seated. Understandably, it was Valentines Day, but we felt none of the welcome enjoyed by other reviewers, and the experience rather diminished the significance of the day. We do plan to return and partake of the fine food you serve but hope that we have more luck with some of the other aspects that supposedly set you apart from the others.

My wife & I had a very pleasant experience. From our welcome at the hostess stand to our seating at our table. Our waiter John was very friendly & knowledgable about menu items & specialty drinks. For an appetizer I ordered the pork belly and my wife ordered the Charred Octopus. We were very pleased by how delicious the meals were and could not wait to try the entree. I ordered the Tomahawk pork chop & my wife ordered the spicy pork sausage spaghetti. Our meals were excellent & our coconut pecan old fashions topped the evening while we sat near the bar. We would definitely return & recommend to all.
