Fat Hen, sister to La Brasa, is a small fifteen table, thirty seat restaurant that focuses on Pasta and Wine with an Italian roots. Our team focuses on guest experience and creating memories; from when you first walk through the door to when you take your final bite. Our passion for fine wines, thoughtful preparation, flawless technique and excellent quality local products is shown through our frequently changing seasonal menus. Appetizers always delicious and varied. Oysters were great. Was a shame that out of all the pastas and entrees there was only one that was nonmeat. Just one veg pasta, no fish. The pastas were nice but greasy/oily. The carbonara was highly recommended but ended up being our table’s least favorite.

My husband and I wanted to do something different and special for his mother for Mother's Day. She did the 3 course mother's day dinner and my husband and I did the 4 course. The food for each course was delicious. Mom thought everything she had was great and it was dishes she hasn't had before. We definitely want to go back.

Accepted reservations for a Sunday, confirmed it, and they are not open on Sundays. Several other parties sat outside the restaurant after 5pm waiting for the doors to open. Hours on Apple and Google show they are open at 5pm on Sunday.

Follow up to table between drinks and ordering main was a bit slow. Overall relaxed for a Friday night. Unhurried, and pleasant staff. I believe they work between Fat Hen and La Brassa at the same time. Nice job everyone. Awesome Chef. Every visit is a pleasure. The food is outstandingly balanced. Textural ebb and flow keeps each bite a fresh sensation. Taste is well developed and deep. 7:20-9:25 pm. Wine selections are thoughtful and broad lending great compliments to the ingredients. Peter.

Portions on the cheese plate were comical. We were advised to order 3-5 plates for two people, but the pasta portions were plenty for one person. The carbonara was overwhelmed with black pepper and the bolognese had very little sauce. The service and ambience were nice and portrayed a fine dining experience, but the food itself was disappointing.

Overall, thought service was lacking for menu offering. Waitstaff was not attentive, but was efficient. Pasta itself was good, but sauces were overly salted. Should have just gone to LasBrasas next door - place was hopping. Weird cubed steak tartare - covered with a heavy sauce - mayo based maybe?

Food here was excellent but service was some of the worst I’ve ever had. Everyone we came into contact with (specifically server and hostess) seemed wildly inconvenienced by our presence. Our server was incredibly rude — no welcome, no help with the menu, no check ins, even a couple eye rolls. Would have been a favorite as food and ambiance were wonderful but won’t be returning due to terrible service.

The food itself was delicious, highly recommend the mushroom gemelli. However, the service was quite awful. I was there for Valentine's dinner but felt incredibly disregarded the entire time. The time it took us to receive any service was so long whereas the waitress would be holding friendly conversations with every other table.
