ARRIBA, a rooftop margarita bar with Latin inspired snacks from the wood fired oven, is NOW OPEN! Join us for drinks only to start on a first-come, first-served basis. NO RESERVATIONS. WEATHER PERMITTING. Farm Bar is a neighborhood farm-to-table restaurant with locations in Ravenswood and Lakeview. We serve homestyle food with ingredients from Brown Dog Farm in Mineral Point Wisconsin. Stop by for dinner to indulge in our Classic Burger and Wisconsin Cheese Curds. Our mixologists behind the bar will shake up cocktails or pour a glass of local wine to pair with brunch on the weekends. We limit our environmental footprint by using a digital menu linked to our tables with a QR code. Upon request, a paper menu with standard items can be provided along with removing our inflation fee.

Every Tuesday, Farm Bar donates 20% of what you send at Farm Ba to a Chicago non-profit. Since 2022, Farm Bar has donated over $75,000 to Chicago non-profits. Each table will chose one of four non profits; and the end of the quarter, we'll cut a check to that non profit. Past non-profits have included immigrant relief, pet rescues, food pantries, anti-violence coalitions and conservation organizations. The current Q1 charities include the Between Friends, the Honeycomb Project, Chi-Town Pitties, and the Friendship Center.

I took my parents here on a Monday night expecting a good meal. We split the carrots, savoy cabbage, mushrooms, salmon, and mussels. We had an absolutely phenomenal meal - way better than I imagined. Everything had amazing flavors, but nothing was too aggressive. The service was also excellent!

We had a lovely time. Service was nice, the place was very comfortable and enjoyable to be in. For four people we ordered four different meals and everybody enjoyed those thoroughly.

I was a little trepidatious after reading some of the other reviews about table size, noise levels and the infamous surcharge. I was happy though that our experience was a good one. Yes, it's a bit noisy, not a first date kind of place (unless you need the noise the noise as a distraction) and yes, there is a 3% surcharge. I don't agree with it in general, I'd prefer les transparency and just evaluate the pricing and set accordingly but Farm Bar isn't the only restaurant engaging in this practice. it was 8% at another place we went. We just dine out less and have become more discerning about where we will spend our money. Farm bar does cram a lot of tables into the space making it difficult for even the slimmest of people to get into the banquette with knocking something over, but they were very accommodating, and we got a corner table that while small was quite comfortable. Now to the food, my husband had the crab cakes benedict, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The crab cake portion was generous, the hollandaise was light and lemony and delicious and the poached egg was perfect. He had an IPA and I had (2) Bloody Mary's. Most people would appreciate the bacon that came with the bloody; I don't eat bacon, but it was easily removed. I had a burger which was good, but a little big for me. I'd switch the order up a bit next time. I saw plates come out around and everything looked fresh and well prepared. Our waiter was great, attentive but overly so and nice sense of humor. We will for sure be back, especially when the rooftop opens

Everything was very good, but it is really a bitter ending to a dinner when you receive the bill telling you they are adding 3% due to inflation. Inflation also affects other people too. It shows very little consideration to charge extra.

Some really good food marred by a disregard for diners. First, there is a very good chance your table will be a foot or less away from another table. This makes it really awkward when trying to get to your seat and squeezing by and hitting the other tables. Even worse, this makes for a very loud restaurant so the people near you are screaming, and it’s impossible not to overhear these other conversations. Moving onto service, our server was very friendly. However, our entrées arrived about five minutes after we received our appetizer, and while there was an apology, nothing else was done. We were pretty much finished with dinner about 35 minutes after we arrived, which is crazy. Like putting tables right next to each other, this seems like just an attempt to turn over as many tables as quickly as possible. As for the food, the pull apart bread was terrific. The pistachio cavatelli was good, albeit too much lemon. The burger was really good, even if slightly dry, but the flavor of the beef was terrific, and the accompaniments did not get in the way. The final blow was when we noticed the 3% inflation fee on the check. This is not mentioned on their menu. You are offering your staff a better wage, healthcare, etc., tell me about it, and I would be happy to pay a little bit more. But the burger is already $20 and the bread and butter is $12, and adding 3% additional without mentioning it just seems like gouging. Congratulations Farm Bar, you got me in the door. But you will not see me again, even though I would otherwise happily return for the food.
