Fabian’s Italian Bistro is worth checking out any day, but if you happen to be in the neighborhood on Tuesday or Wednesday, you’re in for a treat. Tasting Tuesday dinners include an ever-changing special tasting menu, where you can try smoked pork, scallops, pork tenderloin, polenta, squid ink spaghetti and more. Wednesdays at Fabian’s Italian Bistro feature select house favorite wines for half price, plus they allow you to bring your own bottle with no corkage.

Loved this place. Very comfy, civilized. Excellent bread, Caesar salad, and Bolognese! My Scampi sauce was a little too rich due to excess cream, but flavor was there. Service exemplary!

This is an absolutely wonderful neighborhood restaurant. The quality is more fine dining and both the seating inside and the patio are lovely. They don't rush you out, so we had a family birthday party and everyone could hear each other and we didn't feel like we had to hurry up and eat. It is the birthday lady's favorite restaurant - wish there was another one in Elk Grove! food is consistently excellent and service is considerate, if a bit slow due to perceived understaffing. Trying to catch them on the phone is a challenge. I literally called back the minute I saw a missed call and no one called me for a week to respond to my message. Then when they did call and I missed the call I again called back immediately and it again went straight to an answering machine and I got no call back from my message to clarify their inquiry. So I was not sure what we were going to encounter when we arrived. I thought maybe a trainee was making the calls but it turned out to be a manager, so I'm confused by the phone thing. It created some stress because it was a BIG birthday party and I wasn't sure what the no response meant. Sorry to be picky but it did scare me.

Dinner was ok. Slow service. Decated wine and poured sediment in decafer...not sure kitchen ussue. Oddered appetizer and took forever. .right after delivered they served makn course. Been there a few times. Conistsnly average .

We love dining at Fabian's. The menu is both inventive and traditional. The quality of the food is consistently high. The staff is friendly, well trained and make every effort to make sure your dining experience is enjoyable.

Fabian’s is a true gem in Fair Oaks. Great food, atmosphere (on the patio) and such wonderful staff! We will definitely be going back for more dinners.

Wednesday half off bottle of wine was chardonnay & it was pleasant. Foods were good & I took 2 girl friends who never been there & they were happy. Definitely my go to place!

Wonderful Easter brunch. Food was delicious and service was stellar. If you want to have a special meal or just go out to dine, this is definitely the place to go. Great atmosphere.

the food was not great. This is the second time I have been there and both times the food was bland or not good. My friend and I have decided to not go back.

The could not figure out how to cook an egg over hard. So after sending it back I received burnt eggs that were black on one side. The other dishes were ok

I have eaten at this restaurant several times. My favorite is their brunch. The menu is limited but everything good. Only issue this last visit was poor service. Granted they were busy but our waitress had difficulty remembering we were there. Had to get her attention and prompt her for food and drink delivery. Seemed they had plenty of help so doubt if she was overwhelmed. Too bad.

Been to Fabian's numerous times over the past several years, and it's always been great food and great service there. Their patio seating is especially pleasant during warmer weather. Highly recommend!

Exceptional chef! Amazing food and presentation! The staff are a total delight—we would adopt them all. Not inexpensive but we rarely go anywhere else. Can’t wait for the warm-weather patio to open again!

Food is always excellent! Hostess/owner went above to squeeze 3 of us in on a cancellation. Sadly friends couldn’t make it. Katie entertained me with excellent service & clean jokes!! I would suggest they do not hold tables past 15 min-a lot of lost revenue🤷🏻‍♀️It’s my go to when in town❣️

We ordered the arugula salad and the chicory salad. Both excellent. They were followed by the bucatini and a special spaghetti carbonara. The bucatini was a little bland but the carbonara was great. Service was excellent as always.

No one acknowledged anniversary, so why have notes or requests. Server was nice and took care of us. Wife’s braised short rib was excellent. My Cioppino could have been better, sauce was like bland tomato soup and seafood was chewy. Wife and I did not like the Polenta Cobbler, as it tasted like lemon grits with some berries in it. The winter spice Vanilla gelato that accompanied it was fantastic and the Chocolate Nemesis was delicious.
