Fabian’s Italian Bistro is worth checking out any day, but if you happen to be in the neighborhood on Tuesday or Wednesday, you’re in for a treat. Tasting Tuesday dinners include an ever-changing special tasting menu, where you can try smoked pork, scallops, pork tenderloin, polenta, squid ink spaghetti and more. Wednesdays at Fabian’s Italian Bistro feature select house favorite wines for half price, plus they allow you to bring your own bottle with no corkage.

We have visited Fabian’s many times. The wait staff, including bar tenders are always great. The food is excellent, both dinner and weekend brunch. Highly recommend. The patio is very pleasant when the weather is nice.

Always a delightful experience. The food is exceptional, the staff are superb, and the ambiance — al fresco under market lights and Chinese elms — is our summertime favorite.

The 5 of use to celebrate a birthday was very nice. Thank you for the birthday desert and the great service. The wine that was suggested was a great bottle. I should have taken the empty bottle home. A fantastic wine selection. Among our dishes, my wife was disappointed with the small lasagna serving. Otherwise, we enjoyed ourselves.

The atmosphere was welcoming! The way the tree branches shade the outdoor seating was magical. Mother’s Day brunch with my friends started off with Mimosas, with you choice of orange, cranberry or grapefruit juices. It was very refreshing! The food was savory, which there were only empty plates when we finished. The atmosphere was enjoyable, where we could have a conversation without being loud. The misters were like a breath of fresh air. We will sure be back.

Loved this place. Very comfy, civilized. Excellent bread, Caesar salad, and Bolognese! My Scampi sauce was a little too rich due to excess cream, but flavor was there. Service exemplary!

This is an absolutely wonderful neighborhood restaurant. The quality is more fine dining and both the seating inside and the patio are lovely. They don't rush you out, so we had a family birthday party and everyone could hear each other and we didn't feel like we had to hurry up and eat. It is the birthday lady's favorite restaurant - wish there was another one in Elk Grove! food is consistently excellent and service is considerate, if a bit slow due to perceived understaffing. Trying to catch them on the phone is a challenge. I literally called back the minute I saw a missed call and no one called me for a week to respond to my message. Then when they did call and I missed the call I again called back immediately and it again went straight to an answering machine and I got no call back from my message to clarify their inquiry. So I was not sure what we were going to encounter when we arrived. I thought maybe a trainee was making the calls but it turned out to be a manager, so I'm confused by the phone thing. It created some stress because it was a BIG birthday party and I wasn't sure what the no response meant. Sorry to be picky but it did scare me.

Dinner was ok. Slow service. Decated wine and poured sediment in decafer...not sure kitchen ussue. Oddered appetizer and took forever. .right after delivered they served makn course. Been there a few times. Conistsnly average .

Fabian’s is a true gem in Fair Oaks. Great food, atmosphere (on the patio) and such wonderful staff! We will definitely be going back for more dinners.

Wednesday half off bottle of wine was chardonnay & it was pleasant. Foods were good & I took 2 girl friends who never been there & they were happy. Definitely my go to place!

Wonderful Easter brunch. Food was delicious and service was stellar. If you want to have a special meal or just go out to dine, this is definitely the place to go. Great atmosphere.

the food was not great. This is the second time I have been there and both times the food was bland or not good. My friend and I have decided to not go back.

The could not figure out how to cook an egg over hard. So after sending it back I received burnt eggs that were black on one side. The other dishes were ok

I have eaten at this restaurant several times. My favorite is their brunch. The menu is limited but everything good. Only issue this last visit was poor service. Granted they were busy but our waitress had difficulty remembering we were there. Had to get her attention and prompt her for food and drink delivery. Seemed they had plenty of help so doubt if she was overwhelmed. Too bad.
