At KELP we take our time to make sure the food that goes on your plate is a fresh and local as possible. We source our seafood to be specifically Scottish and sustainable. We pride ourselves on using local suppliers for all our food. The fish people supply our fresh seafood daily. Our bread comes from Soja bakehouse, a family owned bakery in Cumbernauld. Our meat comes from ABR butchers, based in Bearsden.
Our executive chef, Christopher Hutchison, creates amazing, innovative dishes to be enjoyed and shared with friends and loved ones. We now have an AA rosette for 2023/2024 to highlight his and the teams amazing work. We are located on Cowcaddens Road, just around the corner from our sister restaurant, Ardnamurchan Restaurant and Bar and a stones throw from the theatre royal. Perfect for a meal before a show. Relax in our modern, airy restaurant and watch the chefs work in the open kitchen. Our signature dish is our crab doughnut, you'll be amazed!

Food good or very good apart from broccoli which was woody and unpleasant to eat. Service slightly variable but restaurant very busy. Staff all pleasant despite this. Ambience very comfortable but stylish.

Excellent choices for both food and wine. Service very professional, but also very friendly and welcoming. I arrived before my husband coming from work and made to feel completely at ease. Relaxing and enjoyable.

Good location, excellent selection of fishy delights, wonderful variety of textures and flavours, superbly presented, great value for money. Staff are pleasant and helpful.Food is cooked to order.

Excellent food, but marred by poor service. Our final dish arrived after we paid the bill! Dirty dishes were not removed and we had to pile them on the side by our table

Food (when it finally arrived) was absolutely delicious however it was served at differnt times and waiited a long time for some dishes so we ended up eating at different times.

I have been to Kelp many times and every dish has been fabulous. They have a good value set menu. And yesterday I got to sit in the garden for my dessert. Highly recommend
