Loved the live music (!) and the vibe. Food wise, I found the vegetarian burger to be a bit too dry for my liking. But otherwise, everything was great!

Had an absolutely amazing time here for a hen do. Highly recommend. We had brunch. The service was spot on. Food was spot on.

Amazing good, amazing service. Music was great but a tad loud where sometimes we couldn’t hear ourselves talking to one another. Definitely would go back!!

We went for the brunch board during the week that was the main reason for going, when we arrived, we were then told that the brunch menu is only for weekends, we were massively disappointed.

Beautiful hotel and the decor of Eve is in keeping with it. We've rarely been so underwhelmed as we were on Tuesday. in respect of food served. Not sure what I expected when ordering Brussel Sprouts with garlic and parmesan so silly me for ordering !!. The Whipped House Pate was so heavily livery, no subtleness whatsoever.

Table was in corner at the back, felt like we were forgotten about so service wasn't good, has to flag down a waiter when wanted another drink. Food average not alot of choice. Asked for bill twice, ended up having to go up to the barr to pay as none came to our table.

Ordered a bottle of prosecco which was just left on the table, no offering of water, no check backs on food until clearing. My friend said hers was ok, server didn’t ask for any further feedback. Loads of staff standing around and only a few tables in, just not great service at all for the money you pay.

Whilst the food was fabulous, the service was questionable… The wait time for ordering drinks and food etc. Table water didn’t arrive until we were half way through our meals. Our bag was right next to the steps and walk through and that’s potentially why we were forgotten about at times.

Went in at 7 pm on a Saturday, waited 15 min before anyone came to take our order and when they did there was no prosecco or rose prosecco left which was what we wanted. Also no Guiness left. Order then took a long time to come and we had to ask another member of staff where it was and he went and got it. Thought there was live music on a Saturday too but there wasn't when we were there, the band was just setting up. Decor and ambience was nice.

Food was nice enough, although a tad overpriced - but I suppose you’re also paying for the location. We ordered 2 French martinis and a baileys but they didn’t have baileys available. Then ordered another French martini which looked like a completely different drink to the first 2. It would have been a pleasant enough visit if it wasn’t for the excessively loud live music. The band themselves were good, playing songs that suited the vibe, but it was too loud to even have a conversation.

Return visit to Eve, one of our favourite venues - seated quickly but had to wait 30 mins to order drinks. Eventually had to ask for service, then ordered food at the same time - everything was great after that, especially the live band who were outstanding 👌🏻✨ similar issues with service after the plates were cleared away. We weren’t asked if we wanted anything else and again had to ask for service to order more drinks (we would have ordered more and stayed longer if the service was better) On previous visits the service was excellent; not sure what the issue was yesterday as it wasn’t overly busy.

We were a party of 4 with 2 birthdays to celebrate, first time for three of us at Eve. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely, we were even given a complementary glass of prosecco for our birthday celebrations (I did mention our birthdays when booking). The live band were very good, the female vocal had an amazing voice but it was a bit loud, fortunately the band had a number of short breaks which allowed conversation to be made. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the interior design complimented and added to the overall experience. Would recommend to others.

The food was quite underwelming. The waffle was not crispy and had a ”mushy” texture. The chicken burger was quite dry, the meat was a bit dry and the very tiny amount of mayo on the burger made the whole thing feel very dry. The service was okay, and the interior was nice. But the food was not very good.

Lovely bar restaurant, well laid out and decorated. Outside space looks really interesting for warmer weather. Staff were attentive and helpful throughout. Relatively limited menu of small-plates, but enough to suit most tastes and offer good options. Loved the Beef Massamam and the Chicken thighs. The food is tasty and unusual. Got busy as we were leaving and has live music or dj on the weekend, with a small dance floor.

Really enjoyed our first visit to Eve for our daughter’s birthday. Enjoyed the food and the Hipster songbook live jazz music, particularly their Lizzo cover. Service was a little slow at times even though restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, although there was a large group in. Would definitely go back as it was a nice place to chill. Prices were on the high side which is to be expected in Edinburgh city centre.

Very stylish and beautiful setting. Service was not great. Servers lacked clientele and table awareness. Our food was decent and enjoyable. The 12 and a half % service charge was not worthy.

Note we didn’t have any food. The cocktails were good but nothing outstanding, I think priced too highly.. £27 for two house cocktails. A lot of staff on shift with four or five tables in but service wasn’t fast. The music was described as ‘ lively ‘ but unfortunately I wouldn’t agree. Have since visited again incase it was an ‘off’ night but didn’t enjoy it. Wouldn’t return.

The service and front of house staff were great unfortunately the kitchen let them down. Our food took forever, then when it arrived it was wrong and we then ended up getting our food at different times and eating separately. On receiving the bill we had been over charged and had to point this to them. We did end up getting some money off but we had to ask for this, under the circumstances of our experience I thought this would have been given as a good Will gesture. I am not sure I would return which is a real shame as the staff were very attentive and the hotel and decor are stunning. Not the start to our day we expected.

Food was average, I ordered pastries with whip cream and they forgot the whip cream. Loved the live band, coffee was not on the menu so had to ask for it

Food was good. Drinks and coffee were delicious however service is appalling!! Over 40 minute wait for food, had to ask for several things twice. Waffles came without the cream has to ask twice to get the cream and waited 20 minutes for it. Asked for sugar for the coffee twice. 20 minutes for the bill. . Really not great service at all! No apologies or nothing.

Came for drinks with girl pals. Lovely selection of cocktails and spirits. Lovely friendly service especially from Fraser. Looking forward to returning at Christmas

Lovely place however food and service let it down. Service was very slow and cocktails poorly made. Food was cold had been clearly sitting for a while and returned all 3 dishes this was dealt with well and new food was made which was hot unfortunately while waiting on new food no other drinks were offered and we had to ask for more. There’s much better places in Edinburgh for brunch and unfortunately I wouldn’t return
