Eva means full of life. It is also the initials to my children, Elias & Vivian Aboujaoude, who are my life. Eva is a space designed to be welcoming and bright, a place for great food, refreshing cocktails and lively conversation. All while sitting back to enjoy and observe the hustle & bustle of beautiful, historic Newbury Street from one of the largest outdoor patios.

The service was fantastic and the food and drinks were great. The acoustics of the downstairs makes for an annoying ambiance as it is hard to hear and converse with your table. Easy fix, yet why haven't they done anything? Would definitely go back though for the reasons stated, would just sit outside on patio or try upstairs. This review should be taken as very positive!!

The restaurant is very pleasant, although the outdoors is somewhat better than the indoors, if it's not too cold. The menu is great, especially for sharing, but the service is really slow, and it's hard to get any attention at all from the server. We worked pretty hard just to place an order. After that, the food and drinks arrived with normal timing, but then it was really hard to finally get someone's attention in order to pay the bill. Otherwise, it was pretty good.

Excellent excellent food. Our waitress was very busy but she managed the tables well considering. Friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. A bit expensive but very pleased overall.

Beautiful ambiance inside and out in the springtime. Loved that the menu had a wide variety of options as a vegetarian and fun mocktails as someone who doesn’t drink. Excited to go back and try more brunch entrees!

They were out of a couple items we ordered and seems understaffed since several tables turned over before we got our food. Once we got the food it was great and it seemed like other tables otherwise had quicker service

Great location and delicious food - but the experience could have been better. Our table was in an extremely drafty location, it took a while for us to get seated despite having made a reservation and the staff looked a little harried. They were also out of many items - this was an early evening reservation on a Friday night. Our cheerful and attentive server more than made up for the few lapses. Overall a nice place - but needs to up the ante a bit given the premium location.

Fantastic, savory, tasty Mediterranean small plates and entrees! The octopus was divine, so tender! Tuna tartare excellent, salads plentiful and mezze tasting spreads were outstanding! Great service and accommodated our extra guests without a problem! Don’t miss!

Eva is a lovely place, especially if you can get a table on the patio on a beautiful Boston day or evening. Service was a bit choppy and the food was good, but not great. A bit pricey for the quality of the food.

When we booked this reservation, I asked for window seating, which should have triggered a call from Eva restaurant that there was going to be a private event upstairs, where the window seating is, and that we would only be able to book a table on the “ basement level.” Although our waitress and the food were excellent, the noise from upstairs was deafening, and we couldn’t have a conversation. It was very unpleasant, and what had been a date night was tarnished by these problems. Had we known about the party upstairs, we would have saved our first visit to Eva for another time and had a much more positive1st experience!

From the gentleman who greeted us at the door and walked us in, to the busboy, & our waitress -- all were wonderful, accommodating, smiling and seemed happy to work there. The food was awesome. The Bolognese w/pappardelle was scrumptious, and the Braised Short Rib (deboned) on tender delicious gnocci swimming in a thick cream sauce from heaven was truly wonderful. Their home-made ginger beer is the best I've had since I had some years ago in Balham, south London. I can't remember the name of the delicious, very rich, dessert my wife and I split (we were happily stuffed by that time) but it was a square of dense chocolate topped with a tasty white cream which had nuts and something like peanut brittle in it! What a nice way to finish a superb meal! EVA on Newbury St Boston is well worth the visit. A tad pricey, but man does the kitchen ever know what they're doing.

Eva has the best staff and owner! Unbeknownst to me, my 6 year old daughter left her necklace there on our initial visit in January. We loved the food and so went back in March. The owner approached me with her necklace. So kind and thoughtful!

This was the very first time we had eaten at Eva, and and took excellent care of us. We had breakfast/ brunch on a Sunday and found the menu to be very interesting and diverse. I would recommend this restaurant to a friend.
