Etsu is a Japanese izakaya which focuses on local amazing produce in our dishes which are designed to be shared amongst friends. We have one of the largest Japanese whisky collections on our back bar which we recommend served over hand cut ice or try one of our sakes or Japanese tap beers. Our sashimi is the freshest around and our fave place to sit is at the dining bar. Kanpaii!!

As always, we are never disappointed! The consistency of everything never seizes to amaze us! The sirloin omg!!!!!! The bluefin tuna omg!!!! Mind blowing taste and the service from Holly and other wait staff was top notch! Thank you and see you in a couple of weeks 😘

Although Etsu do indicate a 11/2 hour restriction on reservations prior to 6 pm, this is not truly the case. Service is excellent (thanks Lily) but there are numerous delays. The food takes time to prepare (no complaints: worth the wait!) and drinks take time to get. Lily asked if we wanted anything else and ten minutes later told us it was too late. I’m happy if you’re in great demand but as a diner 2 hours is reasonable at ANY time. We traveled from Brisbane for this so rushing us out wasn’t really appreciated. But the food and service were truly wonderful.

My 4th time dining at Etsu. Always a nice experience and love the vibe of the restaurant. Service is great. The food is good and a large food/drink selection. It would be good if some of the meals came out at the same time (eg. tempura veggies with other mains, to have together) but do understand that they come out as ready.

We only stayed for a short time as an issue arose that made us leave Robin our service person was excellent, the service was fast and the food delicious

I have been at Etsu three times now. The first two times were fantastic , food, service and atmosphere. The third time however, the food was a bit under seasoned and both the pork belly and fish collar were too charred. We were sitting on the table (with 3x2 corners) and the bench felt completely sticky... Deserts were amazing as always but $7.5 for a green tea seems a bit over the top...

Have been to this beautiful restaurant for the second occasion and they never disappoint the food was delicious the service was great and the atmosphere was fun, we will be back definitely recommend to our friends and family and to anyone that likes Japanese food and they cater for coeliac, greatly appreciated

We really enjoyed our meal here which was gifted to us by our daughters. The food was delicious and staff were friendly and professional. Alex was delightful and warm and made it a truly memorable night. We will definitely be back and would recommend it to those seeking great food and great value.

Absolutely amazing service, we felt so looked after and the girl who was assigned to us really knew what she was talking about and made the effort to ask us questions and get to know us. Food was absolutely incredible, next time we are in QLD we will coming back for sure! Best Japanese we have had, and the whole restaurant is a complete vibe.

I brought my friends from Melbourne to experience Etsu. I had talked it up prior to their arrival and it didn't disappoint. They loved it! We had the set menu but swapped out the 9+ marble score steak for the A5 wagyu. They ware blown away by the quality, freshness and portion sizes throughout. Even the 2 teenage boys were impressed by the experience. Both the food and drink service were excellent also.

An interesting ‘funky’ venue. Excellent food. Very enjoyable. As with many restaurants, there is an unfortunate tendency to over-flavour some of the dishes. For example the tuna tataki was nice and well presented, but the tuna was a bit lost in all the flavouring added. Being a traditionalist I was surprised that the sake was served cold, but in the small cups and bottles that are normally used for warm sake. No big deal but it is easy to do it correctly: warm sake in the small pottery bottles, cool sake in a pine box.

What a wonderful birthday celebration!! Aaron looked after our party of 5 with utter professionalism, humour and charm. We have been to the restaurant many times over the years and we were not disappointed. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. A great evening was had by all.

The food lacked flavor and creativity, leaving me disappointed. Despite anticipating a vibrant and exciting culinary adventure, the dishes seemed bland and lacked the acidic elements that could have elevated the flavors. FOOD IS ALWAYS EXCELLENT. WE HAD VISITORS FROM UNITED KINGDOM AND NEW ZEALAND SOME OF WHOM ARE HARD OF HEARING SO WITH THE LOUD MUSIC IT WAS DIFFICULT FOR THEM TO HEAR WITHOUT SHOUTING. WE ALWAYS HAVE THE SET MEAL WHICH IS ALWAYS WONDERFUL AND EVERYONE LOVES IT
