    My review is based off of expectations. This place is not bad and it’s a decent meal, but it was highly reviewed and this place is not of that caliber. Some dishes are very good. Some dishes are just good and some are truly mediocre. I would not return to this restaurant.

    The food was outstanding, as always. The service was good and the restaurant is very nice. I’ll definitely be back.

    I have loved Esther’s since it first opened, but I haven’t been able to get back since before the pandemic. So when I visited Esther’s for the first time in too long in their new expanded space, I was worried the memory would not match the reality. Let me tell you: it was better than I remembered. Pure joy. Every step of the way—everything was Exceptional. The rigatoni was even better than I remembered, the tagliatelle made me cry, and the lobster agnolotti made my heart skip a beat—literally breathtaking. (By the way, the asparagus and the Vitello Tonnato were next level as starters). The only sour note was realizing how much I had been missing the last four years by not going to Esther’s regularly. But that’s my fault. And that’s something I plan to change. I want more joy in my life, and now, in their beautiful new space, I plan to find that joy by going to Esther’s whenever I can.

    One of the best restaurants in the US. The ambiance is close to southern but purely Italian. Amazing sauce.

    Another good meal at Esther’s. First time in their new space. Like that there is a lot more space and ability to get in. The first table they wanted to seat us at was on the left and the sound was very loud. Asked if there was a quieter area and then they sat us in the bar area. It was still noisy, but less than the first table. Service was excellent and all our meals were great.

    The reason for less stars is because we were a party of two and and we arrived with a reservation at 9:30. There were 3 open tables by the window that could seat 4 people. We asked for one of the tables and the two hostesses told us that was for 4 people. As the night went on all 3 of the 4 tops were filled with 2 people. I thought it was a bit petty they would not let us sit there and instead stuck us between two large parties.
