I made a reservation for 8ppl and we all had a wonderful time. Victoria was SO attentive and the entire staff too. They all were very friendly and attentive. Thank you all for a wonderful experience.

OMG! Their desserts are delicious! This is one of my favorite brunch spots because of the staff, easy brunch menu and of course bottomless brunch option.

Our server was lovely and did her best but the restaurant was severely understaffed and we suffered as a result. My burger was also made incorrectly twice - I ordered medium well, it was served well. Then, when it was recooked, the kitchen forgot the bacon. By the time this was all corrected, my partner had finished her meal. Very disappointing.

We had an excellent brunch on Saturday. The food options were really great and unique, different than typical boozy brunches. The food was really delicious and everyone liked their meals. The drinks were good and refilled in a timely fashion. The servers were very nice and communicative. Would definitely recommend and come back!

Essex is a club masquerading as a restaurant but don’t let the decor and feel fool you. This was a great place to eat. The steaks were perfectly done, tender and delicious. The octopus app was also top notch. The drinks are great and reasonably priced. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. For the price and atmosphere this is a very good place to have dinner. It was just getting ramped up as we left at 10pm so if quiet dinner is your goal go at 7-8

Came here for brunch to Celebrate my birthday and it was a great experience. From the service to the food, everything turned out amazing. Shoutout to our server (unfortunately, I didn’t get her name) who ensured our bottomless drinks were never empty during our whole time there. I will for sure be back again. Thank you Essex for being able to accommodate my party :)

The new location is a bit tricky to find if you aren’t paying attention, which is across the street. I also think wish they had more options for milk other than whole, however the food and service was amazing

Excellent food and service. We had the fixed price menu which was a great value. The New York Strip steak was cooked perfect and the octopus may have been the best I’ve ever had. Nice beers on draft and creative cocktail menu. Will be back.

Came for restaurant week as it seemed to be the best value I could find in close proximity to me. The food itself was good. A bit on the room temp side but nothing I couldn't eat or could've simply asked to be warmed up. The drinks were yummy and the ambiance was beautiful. Our server was great too. Overall, it was a great experience.

I went for NYC Restaurant week with a friend. The menu had great options and was a good value but they were out of a few items, which was disappointing. The food was excellent and courses were paced well. Service towards the end of the night was lacking. Overall good experience.

Despite getting seated a few minutes late, the rest of the brunch was great. The service was amazing, one of our servers in particular, really stood out and made the entire experience better. Food was very solid, the drinks as well. Had a very good time and would recommend to others.

We have a three course restaurant week event with five of us. We tried to include nearly all selections. The first courses were all spectacular. So were the desserts. The seafood entrees were excellent. But the steak was not exceptional. The lamb ragu was very good. Service was also excellent. The main drawback was the noise level which prevented much conversation.

Fantastic meal. Love dining at the bar. NY Strip Steak with peppercorn sauce was cooked to perfection. Grilled octopus was both crispy and tender. Wonderfull seasoning all around. Reasonably priced wines by the glass and professional service. Highly recommend!

The food had no flavor, and the mimosa had no orange juice. The screwdrivers had cheap vodka and you can taste it. Overall not a good experience. The service was fantastic so I’ve given 5 stars for that

Loved Essex's for my pre-birthday celebration. The Brussel sprouts were amazing! Food was good. The ambiance was beautiful. It's a gem to the Lower Eastside. Great happy hour selection. Victoria was the best! Will definitely come again.
