Food presentation was excellent. The food itself was too salty for me (and I like salt). I was glad to have some water nearby. I think that the food could use a review by wait staff and others to get an idea of taste. The atmosphere was nice, but it felt a little pressured to order more food. I saw many tables were food was left on the table as the patrons left. I recommend reading Unreasonable Hospitality by Will Guidara and take some good experience and advice from it.

We have been to Eno Vino several times over the past few years, but this time the food was better than ever before. It's always been very good, but last night the presentation was beautifully creative and everything we ordered was deliciously superb. The crispy lobster was unique and I wanted to order seconds. The only negative about Eno Vino is the "wine pad" which is their version of an electronic wine list. When I first asked for the wine list, the server said he could point us in the right direction with whatever wine we wanted. I said that I would really like to see the wine list and he said that it was on an iPad and he had to charge one but he could really help us if he knew what we were looking for. After waiting for 20 minutes or so, I noticed a wine pad not being used at another table and asked him if we could use that one. He seemed a bit perturbed, handed it to me, and said it might not work very well. I did finally get it to work and chose my wine (a delicious Brunello di Montelcino) but my strong suggestion to management is to either ditch the wine pads or make sure there is one charged, available, and working for each table. I do not want suggestions from servers who may be trying to up-sell or have been instructed to help sell an unpopular bottle.

We loved the location--high floor where everyone can see the State Capital Bldg. Kudos to the staff who were able to get us a table by the window so we could celebrate our 38th anniversary. My husband's filet mignon was amazing. My braised short ribs were tasty, but luke warm and nothing extra-special, but the presentation was awesome. We shared the 4 types of bruschetta were totally awesome! We asked for those as an appetizer but unfortunately got them at the same time as the other items, so they cooled. The uniqueness of the choices and the SOFT bread were perfect though! Sadly we were too full for dessert, as I'm sure it'd been fun choices and tasty. Our waitress recommended we order 2 items each since it's tapas style and "smaller portions," but 3 filled us, so if you want to have room for dessert, maybe just 1 item each besides dessert?

I was expecting a fine dining experience, but the food preparation was closer to the level of an Applebee's or Chili's, only at 2-4 times the price. No doubt the food flavors have mass market appeal, but they do not cater to the more refined palette. The biggest problem was an excessive use of oil, salt, cheese, and other rich and heavy flavors. The Brussels sprouts were over cook and over salted; the green beans came drowning in bucket of peanut sauce (the sauce was flavorful, but a little would go a long way; it's not supposed to be soup). The flatbread pizza had so much cheese on it that I could only eat one tiny piece. The Roasted Rum Banana Bread Pudding was actually delicious, but it came with about twice the amount of Cinnamon Ice Cream as it needed to balance the flavors. Good chefs know how to bring out subtle flavors in foods, and that more of something good isn't always better. Eno Vino's chefs take a different approach, and prefer to hit you hard and heavy with salt, oil, and sugar, while ignoring the subtle flavors of good food. This is Wisconsin, though, so that is probably what most people prefer.

Great food and staff, beautiful view of the capitol building, but quite noisy during our later dinner time on a Sunday. If you have a hard time hearing or have a quieter voice, I suggest visiting within a couple hours of close.

The only problem was the valet parking. The link would not work properly on my phone because of weak signal. It was a hassle to use, had to override thanks to the staff on duty.

Breath taking view. Wonderful, fun concept. Food was delicious. Wine selection extensive. Excellent staff. Highly recommend.
