We were seated promptly, probably the first few diners for the evening. The server was energetic, engaging and hard working. They were out of one of the featured items, which was disappointing on a xmas eve dinner. Food was good individually. We ordered Kaiseki and the matching sake. The timing of how the courses were served was off, and the sake came late so the tasting didn’t work out for the first dish. Not even sure if the 2nd one was adjusted since the dish was changed to something else. Usually I would expect that the 7 course would be served in a certain order to build up the experience but it didn’t work in this case. But the food were good individually. Their matcha cheese cake is delicious! I would go again.

The food and drink is VERY good here with a cool ambience and amazing sake choices to pair alongside the food. We shared one order of the holiday chefs menu with pairings and it was plenty of food. We did add the bulgogi pasta as a grand finisher but this wasn't entirely necessary. The Bulgogi pasta is phenomenal as is everything.

We’ve been to Ené many times and it is consistently great. That’s not easy for a restaurant to do, but Ené has managed it. The quality of food and service is very high. It’s friendly, conscientious and caring. In a city with many restaurants, Ené has been in my top 5 places to eat since it opened. The only issue we’ve ever had is it can be a bit noisy, but that’s only because it’s not a large space and it’s going to get busy since the food is excellent! I think they could increase their dessert selections - there’s room to innovate here - however the crepe cake is very good and portion sizes are just right.
