I ordered the same meal I had last year and the plating was different and missing a sauce. The food was alright this year. My mom enjoyed her breakfast burger. The service was ok. The front of the house was friendly and more engaging. More than likely will not return.

This place has a laid back atmosphere with food that isn't pretentious. Many of the dishes have a distinct south Texas flair with a truly unique and delicious twist to them. The pancakes were outstanding and I rarely enjoy pancakes. These are a must for brunch! Also, the goat guisada was some of the best guisada that we've ever had and we've eaten a lot of guisada. We also had the pork belly which was absolutely phenomenal. Pair that with some amazing cocktails like the Cactus Jack or the Kincaid, and you just can't go wrong. Every detail was thought of at Encina...fabulous service, great ambiance, reasonable prices, great portions...We will definitely be coming back here!

Truly the best hidden gem. The Montreal long haul might be the best brunch plate in Dallas.

We had pierogi's, Mediterranean platter, turkey leg, and ricotta gnocchi. I also ordered a tasty cocktail with strawberry and rosemary. The food was good. Not great, but fine. The turkey leg was flavorful. The gnocchi was firmer than I expected, as I've made it at home and it's usually softer. I was surprised that it was served with a broth rather than sauce. The array of wild mushrooms was a nice touch. Service from the bartender James was excellent. He made the experience really nice. I'd go for drinks in the future.

This was my first time going to brunch and I enjoyed the food. We ordered the salad, pancakes, and the quiche. All were fantastic so I will be back. I was a little disappointed that my friend wasn't able to place a to-go order and the waitress didn't tell us until after she'd placed the order.

Blue Corn pancakes were amazing! My husband wasn’t a fan of the migas and the flatbread had good flavor. Overall, it’s about a 7/10. Our service was GREAT!

One of our favorite places in Dallas. The croquettes appetizer was nicely done, crisp and not greasy on the outside and warm and fluffy on the inside. Enjoyed the romesco sauce that came with them, but would have liked a little more. The mixed green salad with the lardons is really good, enough for 2 to share. I'm a big fan of their Berkshire porkchop but this time went for the veal cheeks and did not regret it. Drinks and wine were very good and reasonably priced. Oddly, a little slow on the service, mainly the cocktails and wine, although they were not that busy. The atmosphere is industrial, but the tables are nicely appointed in the main dining room, lighting is well done and the seats are comfortable. Overall outstanding food value.

Good food. Service could have been better considering the restaurant was fairly empty, we often found ourselves waiting on drinks and condiments to be refilled, which my sister never got her drink refilled. The restaurant definitely wasn’t shorthanded. The appeared to be several staff standing around by the bar. They just weren’t attentive.

We got the steak tartar- absolutely delicious. Plus not messy or anything comes pre-spread on the sourdough. We got the bolognese and the pork chop. Both absolutely delicious and big portions. We got the apple thing for dessert and it was so delicious! Great value for excellent food.

I went there for Valentine’s Day with my wife. Encina offered 85$ per person for fixed menu but it was the most disappointing meal we ever got. Meals didn’t stand out and portions were way too small. 170$ menu wasn’t even including any drinks! This place is big No for us.

Valentine's dinner was best spent at Encina. The team had a fantastic menu available- not too many options, not too few. The food was absolutely delicious. It's been a while since we have been in to see the gang, but we will be back again very soon.
