Emporium Thai has been voted one of the 100 best Thai Restaurants in the US. Family-owned and operated, we have shared the wonderful flavors of authentic Thai food with our customers since 2000. We can't help it: Cooking is in our genes.
Supis Sungkamee, our 88 year-old mom, bore 12 children in Southern Thailand and instilled in us a passion for authentic Thai cooking. In 1990, she won a lottery for a U.S. green card which allowed our family to become US immigrants and eventually US citizens.
We are blessed and grateful to be able to share our family's recipes. Emporium Thai has become a favorite destination for those who appreciate fine Thai cuisine.
Just like Mom and Dad did back in Thailand, Emporium Thai Cuisine uses only the finest ingredients bought locally. Our mission is simple "To create such a memorably wonderful Thai dining experience that you'll want to return to Emporium Thai often, and rave about us to your friends". Restaurant was packed on a Friday night, luckily we had a reservation. Service was a little slow, food and drinks were great. Thai iced tea with coconut, crab fried rice and tofu drunken noodles were the highlight of the night. We will be back.

Love everything about Emporium Thai! The drunken noodles are amazing, it’s my all time favorite Thai dish and it’s sooooo good! Honey B was the best waitress and we will be back! If you’re looking for good Thai food, great ambiance and wonderful service you won’t be disappointed. 5 stars ⭐️

The spiciness level of the food is described as 1-10! We ordered 3 .. which was called medium!! The food was so hot.. it broke us in sweats. It was unbearable and we had to drink tons of water! I don’t understand why it was called a 3!! Also I noticed that they ask for predefined tips based on the total amount including tax. That is called cheating the customer!! When I pointed it out the staff pretended not to understand!! Never again will we eat there!!

The service, every time I have gone, has been the absolute worst. I go because the food is pretty good, but I always have to disclaim that this place is not known for service to help level set expectations.

Amazing curries! Knowledge of Gluten Free was also a huge help for my daughter who has Celiac. Love the atmosphere and the staff is so friendly - it’s a family business. Apparently popular with celebrities but still has a calm and quiet feel. Probably one of the best Thai meals I have had!

I've been a patron of this restaurant for more than 10 years. I've watched it grow from a humble treasure to a grabby aspirational hot spot. The menu, food, servers, decor, and ambiance have changed. A few years back they started hiring attractive hostesses and servers. Attractive and competent aren't the same thing. The food used to be more flavorful and generous. There's less variety of ingredients within the dishes now and they are smaller. Prices have nearly doubled. The environment is no longer quaint, it's flashy and social media obsessed. All of this is tolerable when you have a good experience. This time, unfortunately, we had a round of sour milk in our Thai iced-teas. We sent them back and received fresh ones. However, that evening all five of us experienced varying degrees of digestive upset ranging from nausea to being unable to leave the bathroom for hours. It was not due to spicy food either, we ate a level 4, normally it's a level 6 for us. All in all, it's sad. We used to love the place.

I had a reservation for two at 6:30. My girlfriend came in 5 minutes prior, I was 8 minutes late. There were maybe 5 tables occupied. The waitress avoided us for at least 10 minutes before bringing over menus and taking a drink order.she came back promptly to take our order. We ordered two dishes, pad Thai and curry. 30 minutes later we still don’t have food. We call her over to check on the food, she runs back to the kitchen and brings our dishes. We start tasting the food and it’s stone cold. We call her over again. She sticks her finger in the curry to check the temperature. Takes the plates back and emerges from the kitchen 5 minutes later with the same bowls she stuck her finger in. They were were microwaved to the point that the outside was crusty and dry. I was flabbergasted. I kindly explain to her that it’s not sanitary to do that. We get up to leave because at this point I’ve lost my appetite. She brings us the bill for our two iced teas and pretends like nothing is wrong. So no, I will not be going back.

The only Thai place to serve me food as spicy as I like it! Sooo good. You really will need a reservation, usually there is a wait for a table, and with good reason. The owner is very nice and personable, it’s wonderful that he carries on his mother’s legacy

Made a reservation for 4 through Opentable, they claimed I didn’t have a reservation because I didn’t call. I showed them the confirmation email at which point the hostess said “I’ll check” and ignored us for 15 minutes. Got lucky that a table cleared before we left. Food was fine, but nothing amazing. Pretty small seating area, not good for groups over 4

I dont know if I'd go back here again. the restaurant's wait staff are not that friendly except for the reception person. The food is nothing out of the ordinary. The Tom yum soup was pale and tasteless. The Pad Thai was way too sweet. I'll take my chance trying another Thai restaurant.

The staff are really nice, and knowledgeable of the menu if you have questions or want suggestions. They also have a low corkage fee, which was nice for group of 4. I'm particular about where I get Thai food when I'm nowhere near NoHo, and this was a good choice.

Greeted by someone who assumed we were looking for the bathroom?!? Then when I pointed out that we had an Open Table reservation for four, she guided us to a table for two. Once we got that straightened out a server immediately came over and asked if we were ready to order? We had been sitting for less than one minute. We ordered a few minutes later and tow of our three apps came shortly after, dumplings and spring rolls which ok. The third app came, chicken in lettuce wrap, came ten minutes later after reminding the server. After a while two of our mains came. After a fairly long wait and reminders, one other main came. After another five or ten minutes, the final main came. Needless to say I would suggest you avoid.

very disappointing.Service was great, Food was very disappointing.Dumplngs were still cold and perhaps a bit frozen. nothing great or special.

We don’t get an opportunity to eat Thai very often and since we were enjoying the day in LA, we figured we would give it a try given most of the reviews we good. We enjoyed the food and the great service and hope to in the near future enjoy it again. I recommend this restaurant.

Emporium Thai rocks! Thai food at its best, sometimes a bit inconsistent (pad thai) but outstanding overall dishes (Tom Kha, Pad Woo Sen, Panang and asst'd curries). We enjoy the range and diverse offerings; flavors are authentic and servers are awesome, even if they get a little behind. Friendly, gracious, inviting hosts. . . .really like this place.

Love it. Every time we're there, we're happy. I'd rather order carryout from here and drive to get it than get delivery from a closer restaurant.
