A typical food love story. A boy meets a girl while eating pizza. He attends culinary school and open’s a pizza restaurant named after the girl. Thus bringing us to Emily! The Manhattan iteration of the Brooklyn based pizzeria centered around a historic brick oven and comforting food. Emily has earned a following for its signature Detroit-style pies and award winning burger. The pizza here is rectangular (not round) and utilizes the "frico" technique, in which cheese is drizzled on the edges of the pie to create a crispy brown exterior. Beyond the main event, the menu extends to include salads and sandwiches, which shouldn't be ignored (think an attention-grabbing burger and a top-notch spicy fried chicken sandwich).

Please note, there will be a time limit of 1 hour 30 minutes for guests so we can fairly utilize our limited capacity. Our outdoor dining is enclosed with heaters that will keep you toasty! Thank you :)

Food was great, brussel sprouts salad was huge and could have fed 6 people as an appetizer! We shared the burger and it was incredible. Pizza was very good but the burger was hard to beat. Our bottle of Chianti Classico Reserva was one of the best we've ever had.

We sat downstairs, right by the door, where all the garbage was removed. Also, there is zero service when you get downstairs, and you aren't allowed to use the wifi because it's for business only.

The food and service were top notch. We shared the burger and it did not disappoint, but the waffle fries were the real star of the show. We also had the meatballs, which were equally tasty - but the sauce was slightly salty. The ambience was a little loud for our liking, but we are old fuddy-duddies, so it isn’t fair to ding the establishment - it is simply a matter of personal preference. Also want to say that we visited Emily based on the raving reviews of Dax Shepherd and Monica Padman on Armchair Expert podcast. We will visit again!

MY FAVORITE BURGER IN NYC. I’m so obsessed and I can’t stop coming back. I tried a burger at another location and it wasn’t the same. EMILY WV IS THE BEST!!!!! The rosa pizza and apps were amazing, too.
