I brought friends from out of town in fact, out of state, both of whom travel extensively. They agreed that this was the best Italian food they had ever eaten in the US. High praise, indeed!

We were stuck in traffic but they accommodated even though we were very late. The food was great. The service very attentive and warm. We will be back.

Waitress told us the only home made pasta was the gnocchi. We then ordered it and she said they were sold out. It was 2p in the afternoon. We then ordered short ribs with grilled polenta. It came with pasta instead. Waitress told us people complained about the polenta so it comes with pasta now…. Just an odd experience

The restaurant was barely busy and It took over 90 mins just to get our appetizers. Not even our salads came out before that. We kept asking and the waiter was rude and dismissive. When the food finally came out after 2 hours it was mediocre at best. Would not recommend at all.

This Arthur Avenue icon is just resting on its laurels. The pasta was more store-bought than homemade and was overcooked. Portions were stingy. Service was perfunctory bordering on non-existent. Rather disappointing from a restaurant with this history and reputation. Cannot recommend.

Very disappointed. When we arrived we were seated and then told most of their staff called in sick. There was just one waitress and one bus boy for a restaurant that was 80% full. We were given two baskets of bread that were both wet. When I asked for bread that was not wet the bus boy took the bread away and replaced it with even wetter bread. They had no olives for martinis. Menu was not as expansive as on line.food was good except the Pork Osso Buco was dry and inedible. To top it off there was no dessert! The red wine in the carafe was good.

I truly would have enjoyed my experience at Amelia’s and have for many times prior. They were understaffed, ran out of eggplant parm (their famous dish) and just didn’t seem to care. Although the staff tried, I don’t think I will be going back.

We have dined on Arthur Avenue several times previously, but had never tried Emilia"s. We were very pleased with the experience! The food was excellent and the service was outstanding! We were welcomed as if we were members of the family.

Emilia’s is a really good restaurant. It is exactly what we expect when we are at Arthur Avenue. Lots of fun. Good vibe. Food is solid as is the service. One the better restaurants on the Avenue.

Great food, excellent wait staff (George), great value. The bread was phenomenal! I could have made a meal of that alone. I had the Spinach Fettuccine with roasted cauliflower and crispy panchetta. Husband had Cavatelli with sausage & broccoli Rabe. Appetizer was Stuffed Zucchini Flowers, which I had never had before. Appetizers and entrees were excellent. We had 2 glasses of wine each. We were there about 1:30 pm. Total was $106.85 before tax. We chose Emilia's based on a friend's recommendation

Our server forgot about us. The appetizer (calamari was very tough and rubbery) our food was warm having been left too sit for so long before bringing the meal to our table. However the restaurant itself is very nice, l would come back.

Lovely old school restaurant Appetizers were good Loved the zucchini flowers a real specialty Main meals were mediocre at best Pasta was cold Risotto dishes with seafood also cold Have to think how really fresh it was Decided not to have dessert there

This place was amazing. My wife and I went there to celebrate her birthday. From the entrance to the place to the end of dessert the service was A++++. Check it out for yourself. We’ll return soon enough to have dinner again there.

Delicious Italian fare. We enjoyed spending some time in The Bronx before our NYC experience. A dear friend from NY took us on a tour of the area and said Emilia’s was his favorite authentic Italian spot. We were mostly pleased. Loved the fresh bread with olive oil.
