We thought this was another restaurant that we had been to 12 years ago on our anniversary but it wasn’t. But we were pleasantly surprised with the food, service and ambiance of the restaurant. Is a shame that this place is going away to make way for a steakhouse. I’m not much of a fan for French cuisine but everything I had here was delicious and I will fondly remember visiting this restaurant during our 14th anniversary.

My girlfriend and I had the most amazing time at this place which was recommended by my parents. The server we had was so attentive and remembered serving my parents prior and made it her mission to give us the most amazing dining experience! Eunice did such an awesome job and I highly recommend this restaurant and her service to any and all individuals. Beautiful and romantic, and the food was some of the best we had ever had!

The Village Bistro is a hidden gem in Napa. The restaurant was amazing experience to have, so intimate for a romantic candlelight evening dinner for two. The ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant set the tone for our beautiful rainy night out in Napa. The food was delicious, it utterly melted in our mouths so kudos to the chef, and the drinks were great our bartender did an outstanding job in preparation of our nice cool libations! Our hostesses Eunice was amazing she took care of our every need as guests in the fine restaurants. We want to thank the staff for all the hard work and catering to our wonderful evening at their beautiful establishment. I would recommend you try a this restaurant for a romantic evening before it closes and become remodeled into a steakhouse within a month. My wife & I want to thank everyone again.

We dined in and celebrated Christmas Eve in this romantic restaurant. My husband and I ordered French onion soup and beef tartare as our appetizers which were so good! Thanks to the staff’s recommendation. For our entrées, we had bouillabaisse and beef bourguignon which were excellent and absolutely delicious! Staff is super friendly too.

Eunice and Ming were wonderful during our dining experience. Excellent food, a warm ambiance and impeccable service. Wished we could have tried more food, but we were just too stuffed from the delicious platters we indulged in.

I have no idea if this restaurant is good, but if you make a reservation and that resi is confirmed by both text and email, I expect them to be open for business. As it was, they decided to close that day and neglected to let us know. We showed up at the appointed hour and it was closed. We had to scramble to try to find somewhere for dinner that night and drove into Napa. Unprofessional!

Simply amazing. The food is is wonderful - highest compliments to chef Mejia. We shared the Salad Maison and Clam and Mussel Steam Pot. The salad was super fresh and perfectly balanced. The steam pot was delightful - light, fresh and wonderfully seasoned with the perfect broth base. Also, THE BREAD. The sourdough that accompanies the steam pot is phenomenal- we are obsessed with it. Pro-tip: request extra bread to soak up the steam pot broth. We were well taken care of by Andrew, Dawa and Toshi. Phenomenal team. Absolutely phenomenal. It was a busy night in the restaurant and the three of them made US feel like VIPs.

Dawa came around to our table to check on us frequently which was wonderful! We got to talking with her for alittle while and learned that she was also from the east coast and we instantly bonded! She is an amazing hardworking person that my husband and I had the opportunity to meet. Our server was good and really helped up to navigate the menu. We took all of the servers recommendations and they did not disappoint! Favorite rec was the bacon salad wow how delicious! Great dinner spot!

The staff was attentive and very friendly. The food was delicious and the chef graciously rushed our meal so we could attend a concert. We will be back. The steak frites was perfectly prepared and the steak tarter was a highlight!

Our server was great but had to apologize several times for the long wait for our meal. Had to wait over an hour. He brought us great french fries to hold us over and said it was no charge but it showed up on the bill. We paid anyway. They were double fried and very good. Our French Beef dish would have been great but it was way over salted. Didn’t send it back because we didn’t have another hour to wait.

A surprise for me in Napa, CA. It was adjacent to a Gregory Porter concert inside The Meritage Hotel and Spa. The steak fritte and fries were some of the best I have ever had…on par with the expensive big chain steak houses! As a French fry aficionado who has sampled fries across the USA and Europe …they made them with a light batter that made them crunchy. They were served in a silver light metallic holder that kept them hot. The steak of course was just the right temp too. Excellent service and great desserts too. The menu was limited but just right for a pre show dinner!

After we were seated we told our waiter that it was extremely cold. We moved around a few times only to find out from the manager that there was an issue with the air conditioning and they were waiting on the engineer. Because it was so cold we all decided to order the onion soup. What French restaurant can't make onion soup? This one. While presented in a nice bowl where was all that gooey cheese and the onions? It was a cup of tasteless broth. Two of us ordered the clams and mussels which were very good and one ordered the Salmon which was fine. Would have been nice if we knew about the air conditioning before we sat down.

We were really looking forward to our dinner at Village Bistro. We had a 7:30 reservation and didn’t get seated until almost 8 pm. It was another 20 minutes before a server came over and that’s only after I made pleading eye contact. The general manager was completely absent. No one seemed to have a sense of urgency at all. Our server was very nice but overwhelmed and didn’t seem to know how to cover his tables. We saw other employees standing at the end of the bar doing nothing - one was even sipping a drink - not something you expect to see at a high end resort. The bright spot was the food. We had Steak Frites and it was cooked as we asked and tasted good. Due to the poor service we will probably not go back.

Quaint and fun! Excellent French food. Quiet so perfect for date night. We were staying at the Meritage so it was wonderful having such a nice restaurant that we could walk to. Highly recommend it.

One of the best meals we’ve had in a long time. NY strip has a deep flavor and perfect texture. Beef bourguignon with braised short rib splendid as was the onion soup. Memorable.

It was our 10 Year Anniversary, we've never been here before, and now we are definitely coming back just because EVERYTHING was amazing... especially the EXPERIENCE! In our opinion, just being treated with respect and KINDNESS goes alot further than getting a perfect piece of meat. Thank you to the amazing staff, Chef, and especially the manager "Dawa" who practically became family for the evening! Thank you all again for an amazing memory! (...we'll be back!)

Located in the Meritage Resort, this turned out to be a nice spot for a french dinner with my husband. French song choices were a bit loud and distracting at moments but otherwise we really enjoyed the food and ambiance. The french vegetable side and the frites were great as was the beef bourguignon: good portions too. The only dish that missed the mark was the mussels and clams - a few were grainy and not very good. Service was friendly and attentive. Thanks for a great meal!

Limited food choices. Minimal wait staff, but staff was busy and very courteous. For a french restaurant that is only open three days a week, I expected a better menu. I was disappointed in the limited menu......some choices can be found at a roadside diner. Will not eat there again. Will not stay at the Meritage Resort again. Again, very disappointed in all the restaurants and the resort itself.
