Elm Street Cask & Kitchen is a neighborhood Bourbon bar and grill located on historic Elm Street in Downtown Dallas. We serve Southern-inspired comfort food and pride ourselves on featuring honest, made from scratch food with fresh, flavorful ingredients from local purveyors. Following its name, Cask & Kitchen's 200 bottles of Whisky and Bourbon pay homage to Southern distillers and the history of their craft. We salute the makers, their signature styles and varied production methods in our Whiskey Bible. Join us for happy hour 4-6 p.m everyday!

Great brunch menu. The staff was very friendly. They made our Mother's Day brunch feel special.

This place was close to the Majestic Theater and had great reviews on food and service. It did not disappoint.

We were greeted upon entering the restaurant and seated immediately. Our server explained the menu and we explained we needed to make a 7:30 theater production. Our server was attentive, the food was delivered timely and was all very good.

My boyfriend and I booked a table here for Valentines Day, because they were having a special. We were seated at 8pm, and we were there for an hour and a half and never even received our salads. No attention from the waiter or anyone else, and no communication about the wait at any point. The ambiance was cute. The drink that I had was pretty good. But I would not recommend this place, at least not on a holiday when there are a bunch of tables seated. Hopefully they can get more staff in there.

We were seated at 7:45pm. We didn't talk to a single person until 8:05pm and I had to physically flag a waiter down for that. We ordered our drinks and our meals from a preselected valentines day menu which included a salad, entree, and dessert. It was 9:00pm when I asked for a manager just so we could just get our salads. From there we got our salads, and entrees fairly quick but never got our dessert. We had basically given up by then. We were there for 2 hours. The entree was 4 shrimp and about 5 ounces of pasta. I saw another customer order the steak cooked medium and it looked like boot leather. He didn't even eat it. Several other guests were complaining as well about food and service. The manager gave us our meal for free but I won't ever go back. The place wasn't even that busy.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Took an hour to get food and it was somehow overcooked and cold. Couldn’t pay me to go back.

Made reservations,Hostess was impolite and inattentive and didn’t even hand a menu. The waiter was nice, however also inattentive. Our drink order was taken 20 minutes after sitting down. We then proceeded to wait another 30 minutes for it to arrive. Appetizers were never sent out yet showed up on the bill. The old fashioned was basically straight simple syrup. The food was over cooked and lacking in quality. I would not recommend going here as long as service like this continues. For this price you’d expect a better overall experience.

Food and drinks were great. But service was some of the worst I’ve ever received. Took 45 mins for drinks we ordered after waiting 10 minutes for a server. Water wasn’t refilled until we had drinks brought to us. Wait staff didn’t update any table on timing for food or drinks. It was Valentine’s Day and it did not appear that there was enough servers. If you have an hour and a half and are patient, great choice. If you have something booked after and are expecting to get in and out of this restaurant, do not come here.
