It felt like being transported back in time. The diner is super clean and the stuff is so friendly. The food doesn’t look instagrammable but the taste is so so so good. But yes the best are the milkshakes and they deserve every honor of best milkshake in town.

Loved our lunch at Elliston Soda Shop. Had the fried chicken salad which was so yummy. So did my guest. The hand made chocolate shake was just how I liked it, creamy and thick. I had the chocolate pie and my guest had the Tennessee Waltz pie which is pecans and chocolate. Both were so yummy.

This was our first time here. We came with our daughter and 2 grandsons. We had a wonderful lunch, and most important was the kids enjoyed their lunch! Food quality was excellent and service was great! We will be back👍🏼

Great atmosphere! This was the first time I had eaten there under the new management and in the new building. We had breakfast/brunch there prior to another commitment. We made a reservation and then called ahead with concerns as to whether or not we would be able to get in and finish up in time due to a review I had read regarding Elliston Place not honoring their reservations. We arrived early and were seated promptly. Apparently, the person I talked to on the phone let management know about my call because the manager came to our table immediately after we arrived and assured us that they did honor the reservations and always seated everyone as quickly as possible. He was very nice and reassuring and talked with us for a bit - even though it was obviously during a very busy time. We will definitely go back there. Elliston Place Soda Shop definitely has a nostalgic vibe and is a fun place to eat.

This place is a gem in the heart of NASH and walking distance from Vanderbuilt University. The ambiance is fantastic like stepping back into a 1950's Soda shop. Our waitress was exceptional. She sang happy birthday to my 19 year old son and brought us a knife to slice his cookie cake we brought from Vandycakes. Their shakes are the best I have had in a long time and the French fries are delicious. Bonus they have their own parking lot!!!

There's no point in making a reservation at Ellistons. The reservation doesn't matter as they do not seat you and take all the walk ins and seat them first. This is the second time we reserved with Open Table at Ellistons. Neither time was our reservation honored. We arrived on time. Very disappointed in how they handle the reservation. Food and service were great. But we made reservations because we had time restraints and also had our daughter with a disability who had difficulty waiting with no seating for waiting.

This was a great trip to Elliston Place. My food was excellent! I ordered a grilled cheese with bacon- perfectly grilled and so good. The side of tots were crisp on the inside and just the right texture and temp on the inside. The ice cream sundae was also done to my liking. Although, I prefer tall sundae dishes to the shorter rounder ones, so it was a little less messy but that didn’t stop me from gobbling it down!

Cheeseburgers, onion rings, chocolate milkshakes, c’mon, it was deelish! I gave the noise level a low grade because we were seated near the jukebox making conversation difficult. Overall two thumbs up. I’m so glad this iconic Nashville institution is still around!

This was our first time to eat at the new Elliston Place Soda Shop. It has a wonderful old soda shop feel and was very clean and welcoming. The food was very good, but be warned that the portions are large. Our server was Casey, who was very attentive and his vibe exactly matched that of the restaurant. I recommend this establishment for a casual and entertaining meal.

I came to Elliston Place Soda Shop decades ago as a college student and loved it then. Still loved it when I visited this time with my family! Great food and same wonderful malts as I remember. The service was great, too. The juke box got pretty loud but someone turned it down. Kind of pricey at $83 for 2 burgers, an omelet, and 3 malts, plus 2 sodas and a water. But it’s still a great place full of the atmosphere of yesteryear. Highly recommend!

We had a great experience, service was awesome! While we were there a party of 20 came in and our waitress made sure we had all we needed and paid check with no rush before because she new she would get busy. Food was fast and delicious! Will be back!
