Didn't think the restaurant was very good, but the parking experience was awful. Drove an expensive luxury car and checked mileage before I left it with the hotel Valet. Parking lot is by the hotel, but the Valet drove the car almost 2 miles. The next day I called and reported it to the Fairlane and also emailed the manager of the valet company. Didn't get any reply or return call from either. Will not go back.

Good location to Nashville, especially TPAC. Nice restaurant on 4th floor. Service was excellent. Food was typical quality for a nice restaurant. I’d go back if Nashville didn’t have hundreds of restaurants to try!

walked in and there was no host at the stand had to wait till the host could come back and everyone was standing around looking confused, the server was good but the overall experience a no go.

Ellington's in Nashville is a great spot close to Broadway but away from the "rowdiness" for drinks and appetizers. Recently stopped by with a friend before hitting Broadway for Happy Hour. We shared appetizers that arrived promptly and were fresh. Enjoyed an old fashioned, expertly crafted by the attentive bartender. Despite the restaurant getting busy with diners, our service remained top-notch. The ambiance exudes a cool vibe, perfect for unwinding with friends or setting the stage for a romantic date night. Hotel is a great place to snap pictures too. I recommend Ellington's as a great spot for drinks and conversation. Will return the next time I'm in town!

Such a great vibe. The food was unique and absolutely delicious, and even the chef came out to drop off and explain some of her new dishes, which was a great touch. We had their classic burger and the lobster carbonara. It tasted excellent and was definitely worth it. Great ambiance, they had a great playlist, and everyone was lovely. Can’t wait to come back!

Waiter forgot my salad and when I mentioned it during the main meal he was not very apologetic. He asked did I want it or was I full. No other effort to make it right. Also, I was told they didn't have Sambuca. What upscale restaurant doesn't have Sambuca on the bar?

Had reservations, got there early and waiting about 35 min to be seated then after about 30 min after being seated I left. As I did not get served nor did my serve check on us. They may have been busy, but at least we should have been greeted. We decided to leave.

Well, so the reviews are accurate and continue. Not enough servers, a glass of champagne to 20 minutes, people flagging down servers to place orders. Food took do long, it was uncomfortable. When the food arrived, it was good. However, the shirt staffing ruined the entire experience. This could be a gem, but please hire staff, it will pay dividends in the long term.

We arrived at 5:45 and we didn’t get the appetizer until 715 and the entrees at 745 and we barely had time to choke down our food and make an 8:00 show at TPAC.

We were there with many others all planning to attend TPAC, taking advantage of the free valet service for $50 spent on dinner. Despite apparent understaffing, our terrific server got everyone drinks, dinner, billing and out the door on time, with grace and humor. The valet service was also limited to 2 overworked guys, and getting my car back took some time, but again the attitude and attention and performance were great under those difficult circumstances. And the food was terrific. We’ll be back.

Went before a show at TPAC. The bartender was also our waiter. He was attentive at first and food came out quickly and was delicious. We shared the shrimp app, house salad and trout with rice. All was very yummy. Only gave 4 stars because as there was not enough staff and we had to go and ask the server/bartender for our check.

We love the Fairlane! This would’ve been our third year in a row to eat at Ellingtons for Valentines/Super Bowl Sunday celebration. However, they are no longer open on Sundays. Which is fine, we went on a Saturday instead. This place has clearly changed (been bought out) so that was a bummer. Used to be local meats with made in house pastas. Seems to be more upscale bar food. We got the tomahawk last year for around $140.. this year market price was set to be at $200 so we passed. The filet was good and the service was too. We will most miss the pop up bar in the penthouse suite.

My best friend and I went out for the first time alone in years and this was the perfect place! There was valet, the server was perfectly attentive (We needed some space and she knew exactly how to do that without us not having food or drinks to munch). The food was delicious!! We had 2 orders of the deviled eggs even. Highly Recommend

We loved the service and food but they use a very strong air freshener or scent that seems to come from the air vents and I got really stopped up and couldn't breathe - I was fine 5 minutes after leaving. It's a shame because we wanted to eat there again.

I gave the service 5 stars because there was only ONE server for the entire restaurant and she had to seat people too!! She did the best she could. There was also only ONE bartender! I think the food here is pretty good but expensive. We have eaten here multiple times before going to T-pac and it has been the same each time. Unfortunately it will be our last. They are really missing out on the T-pac business with lack of service.

Full disclosure - We were here during Christmas staying at the Fairlane Hotel. Ellington’s ambiance is great, the service was great; the sides were fantastic; however, the main entrees left much to be desired. The bone-in pork chop was fatty and inedible and the Wagyu skirt steak was the same. We hardly ate any of the meat entrees, but the server didn’t ask if there was a problem. The main entrees were an expensive disappointment.

Neat ambience and food was good. Unfortunately, service was not. We waited nearly 20 minutes after we were seated before we stopped the host and ask for a server. Another 10 minutes before our server came to take drink orders. Several other restaurants in the area with excellent service and food at this price point, so would only recommend as a last resort or, just grabbing cocktails at the bar

Love this hidden Gem. Scott is just wonderful at making the experience special. The food is delicious and the cocktails are unique yet familiar - just outstanding. Most importantly the place is quiet - you can actually have a conversation! He brought out a complimentary dessert just because we are locals who returned!

The salmon meal had absolutely no flavor. The Shrimp and grits were ok but I have had exceptionally better versions elsewhere. Our drinks were really good and the server did fine. The food was the only overwhelmingly disappointing factor as it wasn’t tasty and was overpriced for what we received.
