Elk Ave Prime is located in the heart of downtown Crested Butte on Elk Avenue. We feature hand carved Prime and Wagyu steaks, Colorado lamb, Elk, Buffalo, fresh Seafood, farm to restaurant garden salads and more.

We feature many beers on tap, most of which are Colorado born, as well as the largest wine selection in the valley. You can enjoy any of our drinks from our outdoor patio or cozy up next to our fireplace, great after a long day of skiing.

Elk Ave Prime is one of the largest venues in Crested Butte, ideal for large parties or wedding receptions.

Such a great dinner! Fabulous steaks. Rustic and warm atmosphere. Terrific service. Really enjoyed our dinner.

Elk Prime is one of our favorite restaurants in CB—always excellent service (Rachel, our server was awesome!), great food and really good cocktails. It’s a solid restaurant!

They were still serving the “shoulder” menu, which was an abbreviated version. Unfortunately they have removed two of our favorites from their menu….French onion soup, and crispy Brussels sprouts. They also no longer serve their sour dough bread, nor any bread. So while the food was solid, they have unfortunately removed some excellent items from their menu for the foreseeable future. Bad deal……🥺

We were here during “offseason” & it was incredible. I can’t imagine how good it is during regular high season.

Although it was shoulder season and the menu was smaller we had an amazing dinner here. The oysters were delicious and the onion rings were amazing as our appetizers. My husband got the steak tartare and enjoyed it immensely. My center ribeye was perfectly cooked black and blue, which many places don’t do very well if they even do at all. Amazing and great job Elk!
