Channeling the spirit and cuisine of coastal southern Italy, Élephante aims to transport guests from Los Angeles to the Southern Mediterranean with stunning ocean views and dramatic sunsets, all whilst staying in the heart of Santa Monica.

Three bars on the property offer a variety of delicious, hand-crafted cocktails, as well as an extensive wine list. Élephante Beach House is full of custom furniture and design touches that surround the guests with natural wood and stone, copper finishes and design pieces from Northern Africa and Southern Italy.

With stunning ocean views and dramatic sunsets, guests are reminded of favorite summer vacations past, where a tranquil afternoon drink can turn into a memorable dinner or a late-night dance.

Please note for parties up to 4 guests will have the tables for an hour and half. Parties larger than 4 guest you will have the table for up to two hours.

We had the Tuna Tartar which was so good, that as soon as we finished it we ordered another. We then shared the Squid Ink Gemelli Pasta with Crab, which was fantastic, and the Branzino, which was almost as great as the pasta dish, and the Broccolini side dish which complemented everything. We had their Matcha Latte's, which were delightful and beautiful, and for desert we got the Chocolate Torta, which was a great ending to a great meal (next time, though, I'll ask to have the Caramel Sauce on the side since it was a little too sweet for our taste). Each waiter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and helpful, but there seemed to be no organization to the service, and as someone who had worked in restaurants for over twenty-five years I put that completely on management. But the dining area is really beautiful and the food is so good, that we didn't mind having to flag down someone, we probably had at least five people servicing our table, every time we needed anything. And that is 100% on management.

honestly the whole experience was up to par! the ambience and atmosphere was so cute and the food was amazing and every single dish we got was tasty and the prices were reasonable

Amazing food! Make sure to ask for subset room seating or seat at the bar! It makes the whole experience!

This was our first opportunity to visit Elefante having read wonderful reviews, and the restaurant’s food and service did not disappoint. In fact, were it not for a terrible table located near the kitchen and rest room it would have been a perfect evening! My advice to the owner would be to remove that table as it truly detracts from the experience for diners. That said, even with having the worst seat in the restaurant, the food and service were exceptional and made up for the disappointing table. Also is a very energetic environment and difficult to have a conversation at times but very fun and festive ambience.

Our server engaged with us four times: 1. Provided water. 2. Took our order. 3. Towards the end, inquired about dessert. 4. Presented our check. However, there were issues with our coffee order; despite requesting regular creamer twice, it was not provided. Despite assurances from passing employees, the creamer never arrived, leading to disappointment by the end of our meal.

The whole experience felt pretentious. The waiter was rude and greeted us with “I’ll be waiter and I’ll be gone awhile.” He took our order and then disappeared. The food was just okay. Not worth the hype.

Jordan was our main server but at least 2 other staff members came to our table to help out - we never felt neglected despite the restaurant being busy on the Saturday before Mothers Day. Forgot about this gem of a place but will be back!

The food was delicious. The service was ok, somewhat slow and disorganized. The top floor view room was very noisy and we had to shout to hear each other.

We are in a group of 6 people, 2 of whom are elderly. We arrived before the scheduled time, they wanted to seat us at a low table. We asked to exchange. They kept us waiting longer. The front desk service was slow and did not care about our needs. I found it disrespectful.

Although the restaurant was not busy, the service was awful. 30 minutes to get a glass of wine after we were seated. Multiple servers standing around chatting. I think this tourist focused restaurant has no real focus for repeat customers. The .5% carbon offset fee is a joke in that it is the customers paying for the restaurant’s carbon neutral claim. The whole experience was lousy. We are locals and will never go back. We suggest you stay away

Everything was great, our server was low key rude but the pasta made up for it. She had minimal interactions with us, but it was probably for the best as the little interaction we did have was dismissive.

Foods nothing to rave about considering the price. The Japanese Penicillin on the other hand was fantastic. Major kudos to whoever the bartender was making my drinks that night.

Food was amazing! Loved it all. Service was ok, waiter wasn’t very nice but it was also a couple of different people who came to my table to bring food and drinks and not all of them were very nice. They were indifferent in most instances. I don’t appreciate that.

We love Elephante, but got weird energy from our server. Maybe he was having a bad day. He took forever to come to our table. Then, the back half of our 2+ hour stay with plenty food and drinks, he checked on us too frequently and it felt like we were being pressed to leave already. I don't know. Not the usual chill vibes from servers in the past. Won't stop us from coming back either. Ambiance, food and drinks are A+

We had a great time at Elephante as always. The service is good and the views and vibes are great. We went for the first time in a year and up until that point we were going there at least twice a year for many years. However, the food did not meet expectations this time. Overall, the food is really good, but we have higher expectations from this place since they usually knock it out of the park. This won’t stop us from coming but I do hope that Elephante just had an off day. I highly recommend the vodka sauce pasta and the whipped eggplant.

The brunch menu was excellent with their variety of flavors, portions, and presentation. We enjoyed the whipped eggplant and bread! The staff provided my father a blanket as he was not prepared for the cold, but the view of the ocean and palm trees was great. Every seat in this restaurant would be enjoyable in my opinion. Thank you for the fantastic service!

Loved this reaturaunt . Haven’t stopped thinking about the black squid pasta & the brussel sprout salad . SO GOOD . really cute resturaunt but just be aware the seating is shared ? some tables for parties of 2 are jointed together . otherwise, I LOVE .

The only reason I rated service as 4/5 is because it took a really long time to get a waiters attention so we can close out our bill. The food was great and we asked the person seating us if we can be seated at the balcony instead of inside the sunset room and they let us! Great views of the ocean and beach

Would have expected a nicer table considering we made reservations over a week in advance. Instead we stood at the check in counter for over 5 minutes waiting for a table to be cleared and we were sat at a table next to the service counter which was loud, and right next to the kitchen doors so people were constantly moving around us. Would have been nice to have a prioritized table since we had booked our reservations well in advance

Always great for lunch. Don't know why, but the waitress / waiters always disappear when we want to get the check. Otherwise it was perfect.

Service was good but had a reservation for early in the am and was sat at a table outside but all the way in the corner w absolutely no connection to the restaurant whatsoever. We asked if we could move and said it would take a little bit but there were tons of open tables and we even said we didn’t have to be right outside. Love going to the restaurant but ended up eating then paying the check and moved inside to get a drink at the bar in order to salvage the reservation. Disappointing brunch unfortunately.
