    We were really suprised by how beautiful the restaurant was and the food was delicious. The server recommended the ahi tostada and it was so unique and a great app. We also got the fish tacos which were ok, and the shrimp diabla which was really good. Complimentary chips and salsa made fresh was really good. And amazing cocktails. Already planning to go back for the elote corn dip and churros!

    We are patrons of the Original Joes Restaurants and wanted to try out Elena's. It was a great experience. We arrived 15 minutes early and were seated right away. The waitress was one who had served us many times at Joes and remembered us which is always nice. I wanted to try a couple of things, so I ordered a tamale and a chili relleno. Excellent!! My husband had the chicken fajitas which was too much for him to finish but also Excellent! Overall, excellent for food, service and atmosphere! We will be back.

    Very nice ambiance and service. If you haven’t try Mexican food before you will like this restaurant. If you have tried Mexican food and actually is one of your favorites, you can skip this restaurant. Food is uneventful. It’s no bad but It is the same like you would get from a taqueria anywhere but here is more expensive. I don’t regret the experience but l’m disappointed on the food.

    Place was great. Waitress seemed new and still learning, but polite. Prices were higher than other Mexican restaurant but the food was delicious.

    great food, great value for money, no cheap but not overly expensive either, service people very qualified and professional; but had feeling of being a bit rushed, when served and when completed., like they wanted to clear tables for people waiting; I'm sure it'll quiet down after the initial hype new mexican restaurant in west portal., all in all, we've already made our reservation for next time, we had a reservation for odd time, 3 pm, but still had to wait 20 minutes for ourtable to be ready, but at least didn't have to wait for 2 hrs, current waiting time!

    If you want authentic Mexican food, this is the place to go! And let’s talk about Elena’s margaritas… absolutely delicious.

    We loved this place! Great food and atmosphere. Laurel was the best waitress you could ask for!! We will be back soon.
