We are bringing "True Greek" to the Upper West Side. At eléa, we only use the finest quality ingredients (Grade 1 Yellow Fin Tuna, Loche Duarte Scottish Salmon) to create traditional "True Greek" fare. Now Open, on the heels of the successful summer opening of Kyma Flatiron, sister restaurant eléa on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. With an open split-level design punctuated with traditional Grecian pottery and décor, eléa will transport guests to a romantic island vacation while also evoking an intimate, softly lit aesthetic perfectly suited for the uptown neighborhood. Meaning “olive” in ancient Greek, eléa offers guests a menu of soulful and modern Greek dishes that encompass flavors across the region’s many islands and terrains.

As always Elea, great service, great food! Our server was Christina, who was very friendly with a smile on her face which made our experience even better. As a Greek, I love Elea, it is my go to restaurant and I introduce to all my friends.

The restaurant is very pretty and the food is quite good. However, at least downstairs and on a Saturday night, it was noisy. It is also a bit expensive (though so many restaurants are expensive these days.) Overall, it’s a nice place for a special occasion.

Fantastic place for dinner. We’ve been a handful of times now and everything is always delicious. The service is attentive and friendly. Great place for a date night. Menu items are not cheap, but they are tasty. Highly recommended the tzatziki, lavraki, and salmon.

The hostesses are charming and welcoming, the servers are friendly and helpful, the food is very good and the managers (cheers for Yannis!) are attentive and keep everything running like a well oiled machine. This is a place to return to again and again.

We loved Elea, the food was great and the service was friendly. We enjoyed the Moussaka and the mushroom risotto as the main dishes. We also had the spreads for starters. They give you way too much pita! The Tzatziki and the Melitzanosalata were excellent, the hummus you can skip.

The food at Elea is always outstanding, the service this time...not so much. AND, as the people sitting next to us were leaving, the man said "do not order the cheesecake." I didn't ask why he said that but....he clearly didn't like it. Unfortunately, our server was not the best but I guess that's to be expected on a holiday.

I met up with some close friends for a double date at Elea. Despite the crowded entrance and a wait of around 30 minutes just to place our drink and appetizer orders, the food ultimately made up for it. Our drinks arrived later than expected, but surprisingly, the appetizers were served first. Despite the initial delays, we enjoyed our meal thoroughly and left little behind. I would definitely recommend Elliot's, but be prepared for its popularity and potential wait times.

As always, great food (mussels, zucchini chips, shrimp) and amazing service . This has become my favorite neighborhood go-to place for a quiet dinner. But keep in mind, you've got to get there before the evening rush otherwise forget about having a quiet conversation. Bravo, Elea!

Our 60th birthday dinner could not have been better in any way. The food was fantastic. Shared many small plates including spanakopita, spreads, zucchini chips, shrimp, beat salad, shredded Brussel sprout salad. The restaurant wasn't too noisy. (It was a weeknight.) They sat us at a round table which made it easy to converse. Look forward to a return visit.

I was charged on my bank statement nearly double for what I actually had for this meal. Have tried calling restaurant but no response. Really frustrating and disappointing.

Elea is in our neighborhood and we’ve gone there many times. The last few have been disappointing. The service was indifferent at best. We waited 15 minutes to be sat at a table that was open the whole time and then the waiter did his best to ignore us. Elea really needs to step up its game next time we are there or we won’t be going back.

Beautiful space, decent food. The only problem we had was that the chard was served with the grocery store plastic/metal band with the bar code that holds it sautéed with the greens. There wasn’t any apology from the restaurant when we pointed it out. That was a little disappointing.

Excellent dinner! Fish is served so beautifully that neighboring tables admired each others’ orders. Recommended: fish, lamb shank, short ribs, all salads. Not recommended: split-pea spread (bland), soggy pita.
