Ela Mezze + Spirits is a culinary journey through the diverse tapestry of the Mediterranean, with a welcoming twist that beckons you to explore further. The food and service were excellent! Our group's only two issues were that it was *very* loud in the dining room (we had a really difficult time carrying on a conversation at our table of 5) and the white wines by glass were all very similar, providing no options for those who did not prefer that style (having on Chardonnay by the glass on the list would have been a helpful addition). But overall we were happy and would go back as long as we could get a patio reservation to avoid the loudness inside.

Great restaurant! Prices are a little high, but that’s probably because of inflation. The ambience is terrific. The restaurant is already popular and booked every night. Well worth what you pay.

Lovely setting with outdoor dining. The staff was very responsive and helpful. The humus trio was great, as were the garlic fries and falafel. Artichoke appetizer was not that great. The harissa chicken very flavorful but the lamb was bland and chewy. They are still news and shaking it all out so definitely give it a try.

This is my second time at Ela and it’s quite lovely. The staff is great and the menu is fun. Love the hummus trio and the lamb kabobs. The donut and table side French press is a wonderful way to end the meal. The cocktails are also fun and not overly sweet. It is a bit on the pricey side, especially if you want to try a few appetizers. Not unreasonable, especially since it’s great quality, but definitely a special occasion type of place. The only thing I was somewhat disappointed about was choosing the pita option for one of the kabobs. Thought there was too much pita and not enough filling. Probably a personal preference.

Nice transformation of space from Original El Taco - not terribly different, but sleek and comfortable. Food was good - not terrific, but I would go back. Liked the Mezze board. And I had a tasty cocktail with mezcal. Service a bit slow on greet - probably 5-10 minutes before we got water. But then it improved, but we did have to ask for water. It was Mother's Day and my mother and I each got a yellow rose as we left - nice touch. My mom liked that it wasn't noisy.

Absolutely awesome experience!! Food was delicious, restaurant is such a good vibe, and the service was great!! The White Blossom cocktail was amazing, and the happy hour menu is such a great deal!! We will definitely be returning.

The artichoke heart dish was inedible, the cauliflower falafel was undercooked. The chicken and prawn dishes were very good, we enjoyed them. The salad was overdressed, so the leaves had gotten soggy. All the sauces were fantastic! Overall, it was a mixed bag. They need to tweak a few things on the menu to make it stand out.

The food was fresh, tasty and true to the Mediterranean theme. The falafel stood out as moist yet crunchy, with outstanding taste. The beets salad with spiced nuts was a delight.

My experience was fantastic! We got there, table was ready, hostess was very friendly and attentive, Jay, the waiter, was wonderful, food and wine were great! What else to ask for? We’ll be back for sure! Oh! And Tom got free dessert for his birthday! And I’m so glad you are in our neighborhood!

Back on a return visit with a group of friends. Always fun to introduce new folks to Ela. The food quality and service are consistently excellent. This is now one of the top restaurants on my go to list of eateries in Atlanta. Hands down, the best Mediterranean restaurant in the city!

Our server Kendall was fantastic and really made us feel taken care of. The food was tasty and it's a cute spot (a smidge loud at full capacity, but most places are these days). The food came out super fast, too.

For the most part everything was very good. Did not love the donuts (they were spicy?) and the coffee for two is more like it’s for 6.

I dined with a coworker on a weekday evening. I’m a fan of Fifth Group restaurants and have visited them all so I had high hopes for Ela. We shared three small plates and a skewer with salad set up. We enjoyed the chickpea and sumac hummus, but the pita seemed a bit flat and greasy, not soft and pillowy. The server recommended the spinach feta hot pocket, but it was disappointing. A tiny portion, allowing just a bite or two each, with very thin dough that was moist from the steam. Our favorite app was the cauliflower falafel, which was lighter and tasty with two types of sauce. Finally we split the harissa chicken skewer, and found the chicken dry with zero harissa flavor. Of note, none of the “share plates” came with serving utensils, and you don’t get spoons, so we were left to go at it with used forks. The QR code payment system was easy enough, but just be aware- it feels a bit impersonal. All in all, a fun neighborhood spot to dine with friends but not a restaurant I’d hurry back to for the food.

Another great meal at Ela! They’ve got consistency down pat. The baby eggplant appetizer is my favorite. The mezze platter is a great plate to share and it hits all the flavor and texture notes you could hope for. The harissa chicken skewer is a new favorite as is the mushroom one, they both worked well with my favorite lamb skewer. The sound levels and comfort of the restaurant are ideal for a dinner with friends. Service remains on point and the service team do all they can to make sure you have a great meal. Kudos!

The buildup was big - write ups in the AJC and local foodie buzz. And the menu, promising. We ordered grilled artichokes as an appetizer. They were good. The aioli in particular was balanced perfectly for the dish. The harissa chicken however, described as having heat and garlic was a big disappointment. It was under-seasoned; no trace of heat or garlic. Not even salt (no salt on the table either). I chose to have the chicken on a bed of greens (there are three options of pita/sandwich; cous cous or greens to complete your meal - what they call 'sets'). My wife chose the shrimp. While the greens included all the promised pieces: feta, peppers and olives, in this case they were over-dressed and once again under seasoned. It wasn't just under-seasoning actually. Except for the aioli on the artichoke and the marinade for the grilled shrimp, there wasn't a hint of the conventional middle eastern seasoning (zatar, garlic, lemon and harissa) to be found. I'm game to try once more; but only once.

I wasn't sure where ELA was located and was pleasantly surprised to find it in the old El Taco spot. The makeover was beautifully done. The design is warm and cozy, but also a great spot to enjoy a breezy, warm spring night with their large doors open to the outside. I also wasn't sure what to expect with a Mediterranean menu, but was blown away by the "tapas" style menu. We loved the hummus, cauliflower falafel, spinach-feta and lamb hot pockets, but my favorite were the greek fries (hand cut, perfectly fried). Get the three sauces for dipping everything in! Our server was fun and knowledgable about the menu. The cocktails were so yummy- get the Foreign Exchange, you'll be happy you did! This was our first time visiting, but will definitely not be our last. I can't wait to go back!

Great Mediterranean inspired menu. Delicious mezze board to start followed by an amazing mushroom shawarma (I don’t eat meat). My dining partner had the shrimp and raved about them. The atmosphere was also very nice

Ela is a great new addition to the local ATL dining scene. The restaurant is comfortable and contemporary yet quiet enough to have a conversation during dinner. Service is on point, friendly, professional, unhurried but timely. The food is flavorful, nicely but not fussily presented. The menu itself offers many ways to combine the delicious items for a satisfying meal, vegetarian or omnivore, for sharing - or not - however you choose. We enjoyed the mezze platter and baby eggplant appetizers. The lamb skewers were the best I’ve ever had ! The wine list and beverage menu is well chosen and affordable. And it’s got ample parking! This is Mediterranean food at its best!

If you are looking for well-made, upscale Mediterranean cuisine, look no further. Service was as enjoyable as the food. I highly recommend the baklava cinnamon roll and the hummus.

Had a fun time here for my birthday brunch! Our server was really nice and was knowledgeable/passionate about the menu. We had the baklava cinnamon roll, mushroom hummus, artichokes, fries, shakshuka, Turkish hash, both yaya’s hot pockets, Greek frozen yogurt with honey, pistachios and baklava crunch. Ranked below: 1)Hummus & house pita 2) Turkish hash 3) fries and dipping sauces 4) shakshuka 5) Greek frozen yogurt 6) yaya’s hot pockets 7) baklava cinnamon roll (needs honey glaze/frosting; more like a cruffin than a cinnamon roll) 8) crispy artichokes (not crispy, dipping sauce was good though)

Nice dining experience at Ela. Our server Meeks was very personable and attentive, with great suggestions. We tried the lamb burger, shrimp skewers, couscous, grilled artichokes, hummus, and donuts. All were delicious. The Vespa and Frozé with Aperal hit the spot. Music and noise level were perfect. We enjoyed our night and will be back soon!

Really wowed by our first visit to Ela. The food--a fusion of Mediterranean cuisines that shows influences from the eastern side such as Morocco, Spain and France over to the Middle East--is outstanding in flavor and presentation. And, like true Mediterranean food, it's simple in its approach. Our waiter, Corey, was great both in level of attention and explanations. If there was any downside, it's a slight one -- the music choices were spot on, but sitting outside on Ela's great patio, the volume was a bit high and made it hard to hear Corey when cars were also passing by. Looking forward to our next visit to try other menu options!
