Our server, Nikki, was incredible. Great personality, guided us thru the menu and made great recommendations. Food was delicious, drinks were good. Ambiance was very nice, excellent location across from the beach. Would definitely go back.

Service and food were fantastic. Recommend the nachos, snapper tacos, and churros. Great margaritas.

Visited El Vez with my son on Saturday, May 11. We were able to see the Fort Lauderdale air and sea show from the patio area at El Vez. had breakfast – the French toast is excellent. My son had the avocado toast with soft boiled eggs – again excellent. Had margaritas later on – small serving glasses. Could’ve been larger for the price. Overall, a great day overlooking the beach.

Great dinner experience here with a group of 8 friends! We came at 5:30 pm and happened upon happy hour specials til 6:00 pm. Got one round of drink and a few apps for a great deal, $6 each item. Dinner was delicious, lots of options and big portions. Also recommend the churros. We sat outside and you can’t beat the view of the ocean. Great time!

We decided to try El Vez on a Tuesday for tacos, and give our usual spot a break - bad decision. Location: Great. Beach views with a nice breeze Food: we started with the corn which was excellent; fresh and flavorful. Next we tried the hamachi, and it was okay - not bad but not great. We eat a lot of hamachi so it’s a tough rank. For entree we decided to go with their fajitas ( called something different on the menu) shrimp and steak, both were over cooked sadly. We requested medium temp steak but maybe the server heard “medium well” totally ruined the steak. Drinks: nope, not even close. We’re foodies and tough critics, me more than him BUT the drinks were just bad. Watered down from sitting on ice, lack of presentation just not what we’re used to. Service: our server was nice, and attentive. She tried her best to correct small errors and seemed genuine about her care and attention to detail. Overall/Value: not a great place for tacos. 2 drinks each, two apps and a shared (for two) entree totally $190 before $40 tip - not at all worth it. Had we been satisfied with the experience then I’d say the price met the value. We won’t go back protip: train your bartenders to pour drinks from the shaker, over fresh ice. Using the ice from the shaker ruins the drink.
