We love the view. We got sat overlooking the ocean. But the food was lacking flavor. Everything was bland . From the chips , guacamole to our fajitas. Maybe next time it would be better.

Came here Sunday for Brunch with my daughter.I reserved a table through this app we didn’t have to wait long . Got a table with an amazing ocean view. Brunch was good Had bottomless mimosas. The server was good. This location did not disappoint. Definitely coming back for brunch again.

Had the Sunday Brunch at El Torito about 5 years ago and from what I recalled, all was fine. Decided to go this past Sunday with my family (5 adults) and it was pretty chaotic unfortunately. I understand the restaurant has limited space to set up the buffet stations but it would be much better if they'd remove all the tables from the bar area to move the pozole station or beverages over against the wall with windows in the bar. Most everyone gets up to get their own food and drink unless ordering soda or alcohol, so I'm not sure why many of the servers were inattentive with asking if anyone wanted a drink and or "how is everyone doing? do you need anything?". I had to ask the very nice manager for our table's needs since she made eye contact and asked if we needed anything. Later learned that we could have tried their "complimentary" churro pancakes but we were not asked if we wanted any and saw they were even a thing when we noticed on the little triangle shaped table top deal that shows specials. Not sure why they're listed as complimentary when one has to pay for the buffet and these are included if you know to ask for them. We'll not bother with the Sunday Brunch Buffet again but will instead opt for regular dinning via the menu outside of the 9am to 2pm Sunday Brunch chaos.

We had a reservation for 6. We did have to wait till about 6:10 to be seated not too bad. We ordered food came in good time. Someone in our party did received the order wrong ( wrong meat in the enchiladas). She kept the plate and the server was very nice about it he removed the dish from the bill. It is quiet. Very nice vibes with a nice view of the Ocean. Everyone did enjoy the meal.

The food was great. However it took about 40 minutes for our food. And we rarely saw the server and had to send part of our party to look for them. Additionally when our cake was brought to the table, we had to ask for plates and utensils. And they threw away our cake box, making us look for them again for to go boxes. And we would have preferred to do our own personal tip but the gratitude was already included. And thankfully we looked at our second receipts as it had a tip space! Had we not been paying attention we would have tipped twice. Not our favorite experience.

We’ve dined at this El Torito on many occasions and especially enjoy going there on Cinco de Mayo. This year, we couldn’t go on May 5th so we decided to celebrate the night before. I was a little disappointed in several things. First, there really didn’t seem to be anything special regarding the Cinco de Mayo holiday. It just seemed like a regular night. Second, there were all-day Happy Hour prices on some drinks and food but these were only available if you sat at the bar. Third, we ordered an appetizer and asked for some time before the main entree but our meal came out a few minutes later while we were in the middle of eating our soup. Our waiter said he didn’t expect the food to come out so fast but it was placed on our crowded table anyway. And finally, the rice was cold. None of this will stop us from coming back because the view is beautiful and the food is overall good but this experience was below expectations.
