Very lively when they have the band playing. I'd go as far as to say the noise level was extreme. When I read other reviews that mentioned the ear-piercing loudness, I thought they were exaggerating. You literally have to yell for your server to hear your order and to have a conversation at your table. If you're looking for a club, this is the place to drink, dance, and have some food. If you're looking for a nice dinner, do not go when they have a band playing (which at the moment is every 2nd Saturday of the month). It was awkward checking in because as soon as you open the door, people are dancing and blocking you from walking into the establishment. I had to push my way through and hope I didn't get hit by the dancing couples. Since they don't have a host stand, I had to walk all the way to the back of the restaurant and flag down any employee I could find. Once I got someone's attention, she was very kind to check me in for my reservation right away. Our server was kind and attended to us quickly, but I didn't enjoy having to yell every single sentence into his ear since the music was so loud. I ordered a passion fruit mojito mocktail and it was absolutely delicious! We checked in on Yelp and received a free appetizer. We choose the empanadas; they were absolutely delicious! The masa was cooked to perfection: crispy, light, flavorful. We then ordered veggie enchiladas and Tlayuda with steak. Everything tasted great! My only complaint was that the tlayuda had a mountain of bean puree. After a while, it was like eating bean soup, it was all I could taste. I think I would have liked it better if there was just a thin spread of beans. The steak on the tlayuda was so juicy and well-seasoned, it was the star of the dish. Service and food were great! We'll be back, but not on a band night.

Went for the music on Sat night. Everything was great except a really loud party in the corner made it hard to hear the music. Menu was good, drinks fresh. Lots of mezcal if u like it lol. They were willing to substitute mezcal cocktails with other liquor- that was appreciated. Service & friendly

Food was incredible, live music was even better but very loud so not great for dinner conversation. Our reservation was for 8:30, we didn’t get seated until 8:45 and our drink order wasn’t taken until 9:05- no apology or anything from the staff. We were celebrating a friends birthday so it wasn’t a great start but overall very good food and drinks!

Came in at 9P with a reservation on a weekday. We were the only eaters there so the noise level was quiet aside from the music. Our server was very attentive. The drinks were great, the aguachile was great aside from the shrimps being cut in half to save cost, (assumption), the tacos for taco Tuesday were great as well which were half off. We were full to try the desserts. Pretty pricey for the options.

Drinks were great!!! Food...... not so much. To my palate, it needed more flavor. I liked the guitarist playing there. Ambience was great.

I had so much fun every dish and drink was really good and tasty! Lots of vegetarian options too.

We love the place for the live music, but this time it was extremely loud! We couldn't hear the waiter, our friends or even our thoughts.... the the singer's microphone was so bad that was impossible to guess the words of the songs! We left almost immediately after we finished our dinner... no more drinks or dessert... too bad because last experiences were so good. We will come back if they assure us the sound has been fixed.

This place had THE WORST service my wife and I can remember. The manager sat us and no one came to greet us at the table. We had to flag a waitress walking by and she seemed annoyed. The waitresses did not know the menu, the served the wrong beer. The table on either side of ours repeatedly asked for their checks and got upset because it took so long to get their checks. So when our food cane, we asked for the check right away. The food was just ok. The drinks were good but too sugary and I could not taste the mezcal. Very disappointing experience because the place has so much potential. If the service was better, I would still have only given 3 stars. My chicken was tough (ordered chicken molé). We ordered guacamole and the never brought chips. Waitress again acted annoyed that we had to ask for chips. Ugh, worst dining experience I have had for a $150 lunch in 20 years.
