Tucked into the cliffs of The Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal and stocked daily with bounty from local fishermen, El Farallon is the most sought-after dinner location in Los Cabos. Meaning “a rock that comes out of the ocean”, El Farallon has become a hallmark of exquisite dining at our luxury resort. Situated overlooking The Pacific Ocean, our fish experts will guide your selection with an old-fashioned scale that weights each choice.
Carved out of the rock appears The Champagne Terrace with a selection of over 15 different champagnes ranging from Blanc de Blancs to Rose to Vintage Champagnes. All you and your guests need to do is decide how many and what measure of each one, Our Wine Team will be able to guide you through the process as well as help you learn about the champagne with a selection artisan salt.

    We choice to have drinks at the bar upon entering the hotel. At 7:30 we had a 8:15 reservation. They seem to rush us because we had this 8: 15 dinner reservation. We were hustled up to the restaurant where again we waited at the reservationist stand and we were told to go to another area and sit and wait. A gentleman come up with a large chalkboard to show us some of the drink orders. We proceeded to wait 20 minutes or so. We were then escorted to our seats again. It took some time to get anyone to come over and acknowledge us. Finally, someone came over with yet another chalkboard and show us the menu. We had to stop him and ask if we could possibly order drinks first, which seemed to put him off a bit. The courses came and it was fine just not the upper class dining experience we had expected.

    We had the most fantastic evening the best in our lives. There were four of us and getting a golf cart ride to the restaurant was very helpful. But the food, the ambience the service was exceptional. Music was wonderful too. Can’t wait to come back.

    Nobody should expect to go to a restaurant at a Waldorf property and not expect and highly priced dinner. This location is no different, however, we felt it was worth it. Absolutely top notch service, great food and options, world class views and overall wonderful experience. Even the small band that played soft and wasn’t overpowering and we were not far from them.

    This was one of the most beautiful settings we have ever experienced. The staff was incredibly attentive and the food was wonderful! We will definitely dine there again in the future!

    The service at El Farallon is superb. Without any question, the staff is the highlight of the experience followed quickly by the beautiful setting. We have been to El Farallon previously, but felt that this evening was not in line with those past. First, you are offered a drink while you wait for your table (they were reasonable $18-21). At reservation time, you are brought to the beautiful champagne bar where the half-pours (3oz) are $50-$100. Thirty minutes later, your table is ready where you select the entree for your meal ($100-160 for all 4 courses). The issue there is that the food is okay but not great. Further it is served on stoneware (it’s a pretty color/pattern, but stoneware? The soup and dessert bowls honestly look like cereal bowls. It’s not a good look.). Again, the service throughout is uncompromised and the setting is exceptional but the dining experience feels way off.

    One of the most beautiful settings we have ever dined in. Wonderful service throughout the property and delicious fresh, local seafood. Highly recommend!
