Home kitchens throughout the Mediterranean have been cooking up family meals with fresh, flavorful ingredients for centuries. The traditional meals include names like Tabouli, Shawarma, Stuffed Grape Leaves, Baked Kibbee and more. Ask anyone of Lebanese descent, they will tell you these are the dishes of comfort and home.
The Sakhat family has taken their mother’s traditional recipes and inspiration to offer the finest Mediterranean & Lebanese cuisine in their El Basha restaurants. The brothers and their families are proud to represent their heritage and culture in warm and inviting restaurants enjoyable by all.
The El Basha restaurants have grown throughout the greater Worcester region with locations now in Worcester, Westborough, and Sudbury. As the brothers have grown the business, they continue to work on expanding the menu to include plates from other cultures, such as American Steak and Seafood.

I had wanted to go to El Basha for a while. Some of the food was quite good - the lamb chops, for instance. The falafels were on the hard side so not great. The sausage appetizer was good, the sausages were excellent, although I wasn't crazy about the sauce. Overall it was decent but not amazing.

The food was very good. We had the lamb chops, which were amazing. The lamb kabobs were not as good. The mezzo platter was great. Service was very good too.

Everything was very fresh. Enjoyed the hummus and the beef shawarma. New on the menu is a tiramisu. Very nicely done.

This is a Middle Eastern style restaurant that is best experienced with four or more people. That way the group can enjoy an extended cocktail/appetizer time with a variety of the delicious appetizers and dips. The cocktails were good, some unusual. For dinner, all of us had the haddock with tahini and sautéed onion sauce. It was delicious, and the fish was very fresh..... We were very much made to feel welcome and we could see that they were one person short in the dining room. But the manager took care and covered the void himself. Our experience was very nice and we will be back again soon.

Brought friends, we all really enjoyed it as we have in the past. Fine drinks, kibbi and falafels and Greek Salad--among our favorites--all superb. One issue this time was staff appeared short-handed on a Saturday so it took awhile. We were in no rush so OK but could have been for those headed into Boston or elsewhere. But we were GLAD to see it so busy!
