    First time visiting the El Alma at this new South location. Same good food and service but that's it. Need to have spent a little money redoing the interior. I felt like I could have been at any random American chain restaurant. I may be back to this location for the food but I won't be taking any out of town'ers to this particular one.

    The food and the service were great. We tried the duck enchiladas with pipián mole and they were delicious. The tacos de carne asada were also excellent. Their homemade tortillas were fantastic.

    Salmon and crispy barbacoa relleno were delicious. High quality food and drinks for reasonable prices, which is a rarity in Austin. Very nice and helpful server, as well. Noisy evening, but that was due to patrons seated nearby.

    I have been for breakfast and lunch now, and the food has been consistently great. I very much enjoy the departure from traditional and often bad Tex-Mex in the area. The flavors are bright, the execution is on point, and the value for what you are getting is excellent. I will continue to come back!

    Our server Stephanie went above and beyond. The food was served quickly and with three of us dining all we were surprised at how warm all of our entrees were served and at the same time too! Will definitely be back when we desire a casual dining experience.

    We had the best server, she had great meal recommendations that did not disappoint! Margs were great too. Not overly sweet and made with fresh ingredients. It was exactly what we needed after a day of work travel.
