My wife and I have found out that Eddie Merlots menu is way better than any of the buffets that they ever serve. I don’t believe we will attend any more buffet dinners there however, ordering off their menu has always been fabulous.

We booked a reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my birthday. Tom made our night perfect! He was very friendly, made great recommendations, and made sure our every need was met. This level of service is really hard to find post Covid and we cannot wait to go back.

Avoid Did you ever go out and feel like you just got robbed? It was spendy to about what we expected for a nice meal out, so not crazy expensive - it was just that it was not good - at all. So couldn’t help but feel that we went out and threw our $250+ in the garbage as we certainly did not enjoy our meal. It was a Friday late afternoon when I booked it and I should have known by the wide availability of reservations still available that it was mistake, but I was suckered in by the other reviews. Hopefully this saves you from the same mistake. Service was good overall, if a bit slow. But both the food and drinks were simply between bad and awful. Drinks: Signature old Fashioned - no flavor at all, just a glass of bourbon. I like a strong drink but if I wanted woodford on ice I could have ordered that. Spicy pineapple margarita - no spice, zero pineapple, it just tasted like salt water poured over college grade tequila. They need a new bartender. Food: spicy shrimp app - this actually had good flavor, but the texture was really soggy/gummy. Had the tempura been crispy I could see how this one could have been good. Chopped Salad - was dressed very heavy so came across very sweet and unpleasant. Salmon - overcooked. Steak - was cooked properly but was very chewy, not at all the melt in your mouth Wagyu experience that I paid for…. Sides: Eddie potatoes - I can’t even explain how disgusting these were - it was like two cups of milky soup dumped over undercooked potato cubes and then sprinkled with a cheese that was not even fully melted. How that escaped the kitchen is questionable. Brussel sprouts were ok at best, we split one of the massive sprouts and just left the rest - at this point we simply wanted to get a bill and leave as everything was so bad. The place as very empty - from 7-8:30 on a Friday it was not even close to half full. So I’d say we caught the tail end of a possibly once decent restaurant that is now in a painfully deep decline

This is an expensive restaurant. Our experience was mediocre. Had some trouble with the server and chef on food allergies. Bringing up the topic seemed to surprise the server, which did not understand the allergy and took four trips to discuss with Chef. The main entree came out terrific, but then accruements were served which violated the allergy. So, they were not paying attention to the level I expect when dropping $250 for two for meal and drinks. Other high-end restaurants in comparison have had training and give a lot of attention to food allergies. Eddie Merlot did not. Eddie Merlot does not make the cut for regular rotation of nice restaurants. The restaurant is beautiful and the food wonderful, but at this price I expect flawless attention to food allergies and guest needs.

Our dining experience was, in a word, Superb! We loved the ambiance of the dining room - it is beautifully appointed and quiet enough to enjoy conversation. We ordered the filet trio to share. It was 12 oz of beef, so plenty for the two of us. The meat was cooked exactly to our specifications and the toppings were outstanding. We also shared a Chopped salad which was probably the best I’ve had anywhere. We shared the Eddy Merlot’s potatoes and the Tempura Green Beans. These were both recommended by our server and she did not steer us wrong. To top it off, they brought a Crème Brûlée as a birthday treat! This is our new favorite restaurant and we will look forward to coming back soon! Highly recommend!

excellent service. The food was great but the menu listed crab and fingerling potatoes as 2 of the parts of the order and they substituted sausage and mashed potatoes. Overall the night was very good.

It was restaurant week. I had the filet mignon which was excellent and perfectly done. The salad was iceberg lettuce with a few vegetables and over-dressed. The steak came with 3 plain asparagus spears and a glob of heavy, mashed potatoes. My partner’s tuna steak was excellent. The crème brûlée was perfect.

First time here and very impressed with decor and much bigger than I expected. Service was excellent. Soup was very good but a bit skimpy on quantity. Tempura Beans were excellent and plentiful so we brought half home. Filet Mignon was average and appearance fair.

Glittering almost Las Vegas looking dining room. Attentive wait staff in uniforms. Two managers visited the table to ensure our dining experience was top notch. The filet was cooked to perfection. Topped it off with crème brûlée. Delicious.

First time there, tried them during Denver Rest Week. Was a bit dissapointed with the filet. I made the mistake of ordering it medium vs medium rare, but it still shouldnt have been so tough.

All of the food was so good. The service was great. The crab cakes were not my fave. But the salmon was so good. And the steak was very good also.

I love love love a good steak house with chefs who know how to cook a medium rare steak!! Eddie Merlot did an amazing job. From the Lobster bisque to the crème brûlée….everything was amazing. Josh was so attentive and even helped us celebrate my friends Birthday with a champagne toast. Thank you Josh and EM!

Although we frequent this fine restaurant, we came for Denver Restaurant Week. The special was delicious and a great deal. We had salad, the 8 oz. filet, mashed potatoes, asparagus and chocolate cake-all for $55.00. Josh always takes great care of us and last night was no exception. This is our favorite local steakhouse.

Usually have excellent experiences at Eddie Merlot's but had an average server, Leann, so it made the experience good, not great. The Grilled Romaine salad is always good and I should have ordered the dressing on the side, because it was drenched in dressing which covered the usually wonderful flavors of the salad. The King Crab & Corn soup had a good creamy flavor, very little crab or corn and was served lukewarm. The Cedar-Plank Salmon has good cedar flavor, but could have been served hot instead of warm. The Braised Short Rib was served hot with excellent flavor. When we ask if there was a sommelier we could chat with about 2 bottles of wine we were trying to compare, she told us that all the servers were trained in wine, but she wasn't familiar with either bottle ($125 - $150 price point). She left and ask someone else, it wasn't terribly busy, as it was only 5pm, so why the wine expert couldn't come and chat with us was unusual. Wasn't finished with salads or soup and dinner arrived, so timing was poor. Ask for Crème Brulee "extra burnt" and when it came to the table with a very light brown crust, she acted insulted when we ask her to have it burnt more. Maybe just an "off night", for Leann. We've dined at Eddie Merlot's several times, so we will be back, it is one of the most beautiful dining rooms in Denver.
