With Echo & Rig Chef Sam Marvin has introduced a pioneering new concept transforming the long-held theories behind the steakhouse formula.

We put a unique nose-to-tail spin on the traditional steakhouse, allowing diners to indulge in the best cuts of meat for incredibly approachable prices.

A butcher before a steakhouse, we use every part of the animal. We care about every animal - how it lived, what it ate, and how it was cared for.

Our 7,000 square foot space is located in the Downtown Commons Neighborhood (DOCO) in the lobby of The Sawyer Hotel. Situated on the bustling J Street corridor facing the Golden 1 Center main entrance.

We have a versatile space: a private dining room with audio/visual capability, an outdoor patio, and an outdoor bar available for rent.

Situated on the bustling J Street corridor, we proudly share courtyard space with the Golden 1 Center. Originally opened in Las Vegas, Echo & Rig is touted as “The Best Group Dining Experience in Las Vegas”. We are truly a cut above the rest and a top choice for corporate and social entertaining. We have a versatile space: a private dining room with audio/visual capability, an outdoor patio, and an outdoor bar available for rent; we provide in-house food and bar service; and production and styling options. Our server, Isla was amazing!! The food is always incredible. We went with a group of some x and everyone had an amazing time.

The service was good. We ordered three different appetizers and it came out pretty quick and tasted fine. Two different salads were ordered after and it took a while for the order to come out. Put in our entrée order and 10-15 minutes later the server came out and told us that they ran out of Porterhouse steak. Had to change the order to a T-bone steak instead. Which was fine but took longer for our food to come out. Our entrée order took a very long time to come out. I was getting a little upset that everyone else's food was coming out and we were still waiting for our food. When the food finally arrived. The steaks and salmon dish came out lukewarm and the side dishes were cold. Paid almost $50 and the ribeye steak that came out burnt and had a char taste to it and it was such a thin slice of meat. Could have gotten a better ribeye steak at Denny’s. The cook and waitress should have been ashamed of themselves for bringing out a product like that. Didn’t make any fuss or complaint, the four of us just won’t be going back there anymore.

We went for my son’s high school graduation and they made him feel really special. Food was excellent and so was the service. We was a wonderful experience and will recommend Echo and Rig to our friends.

I am struggling to write this review, during 3 recent visits my experiences were quite broad. Dinner the first night offered exceptional service, but my steak was over cooked and so full if gristle it was hardly edible. This would be a one star review had they not taken it off my bill. My other 2 experiences were mud day meals, food was good but service was cold and stuffy, not friendly at all but arguably efficient. For the price point there are better options. If in the DOCO area, it may be the better of the choices

The food at Echo & Rig was excellent and fully recommend this restaurant anyone visiting Sac. The only issue we had, was that our server was training a new server and he did not have any training on how to pour wine from a decanter. We went for my wife's birthday and brought a couple of bottles of wine with us. One wine needed to be decanted which they did. However, a lot of sediment ended up in the decanter, and then when the wine was poured a good amount ended up on the table. Excellent place to eat but the wait staff needs a little training on wine.

It was a beautiful Sunday morning, yet they wouldn’t seat us on the outdoor patio. This was disappointing as I would’ve chosen a different establishment had I known. The food was exceptional, coffee was good and hot, the prices and service were fair. We did have to ask for water and coffee each time. I would come back for brunch, but only if patio seating was offered.

Our review is not a reflection of the service we received. In fact, our server was very hospitable. We wouldn’t recommend this restaurant because it is over priced for what we receive in terms of the overall experience. Our table was dirty. The ambience was ostentatious with no music in the background. It was a very cold atmosphere - uninviting. Our food tasted like diner food. The place doesn’t compare to the restaurant that is just around the corner, Camden. I ordered a ribeye, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. My partner ordered a burger. It was just okay food. We’ve had so much better. It was just a mediocre experience.

The food was excellent!!!!! Franklin at the bar and our waiter, Eric, made our experience even better! Their hospitality, knowledge of drinks and food on the menu was impeccable. We will definitely be back. Our new favorite restaurant. 10/10 for the whole experience
