We were sat in too close proximity to the kitchen. Far too noisy even over the other din of a full restaurant.

We had a reservation for brunch, we were starving and food came out super fast!! Loved that!! We had a bottle of sparkling and OJ to enjoy a few mimosas, super affordable prices during the brunch happy hour and food is excellent as well as the service 😊❤️ Test kitchen has some different options from the regular Earl's, and since we visit often, it is always great to have something new and some familiar options!

I was excited to find Earl's Test Kitchen. The New & Notable list is wonderful marketing, especially for frequent guests. We ordered the Queen Bee Pizza. The flavors were really enhanced by that touch of honey. Our server, Laura, was welcoming and helpful. Our pizza appeared in moments. The whole service team worked smoothly together. The Surprise and Delight moment was when I ordered a second Martini. My first order was "Dry Gin Martini *with Olive on the side*." The second one was exactly that, and all I said was, "Yes, please, another." My only negative was the volume. Conversation was difficult. I am thrilled that my husband found an Earl's Test Kitchen near us in Northern Virginia. I look forward to seeing what you cook up next.

Great atmosphere. Our server Markus was amazing, but the food was less than stellar. The test kitchen sushi rolls were overly salty and bland at the same time and my daughters Fettuccini Alfredo was dry. I honestly could overlook the sushi as it was a test kitchen item, I shouldn't of ordered them when I saw the lady at the table across from us send them back after one bite. Also my daughter didn't notice that the Alfredo was dry, probably cause she was too disappointed in the sushi roll and was starving. Markus was an amazing server, we was super friendly and helpful. The kicker was the night ended with me getting gum on my shirt sleeve due to a piece being stuck to the top of the banquette seating. Another server was nice enough to grab me a rag with cleaner on it but made no motion to press forward and remove the rest of the gum that wasn't on my brand new shirt. I was able to get the gum off my sleeve, thanks to my friend and daughter but it took time from us eating and enjoying getting together after so many years. But at least we have a story and memory LOL. I just wish the server who provided the rag was more diligent in removing the gum. At the end I removed it with the rag before a gentleman on the banquette attached got his bare arm stuck to the gum.

Looking forward to trying out more test meals! Service was great and booking online was very convenient. Overall very satisfied. Came during a hockey game so it is louder than usual.

We dined here for Happy Hour, a great pre-movie location. We had the tofu lettuce wraps, very tasty and light. We also usually order the kale mushroom pizza, which was perfectly done. Service was timely and friendly. This is our favourite Happy Hour spot in Vancouver, for value, service and food quality.

Hannah was a delightful server and we enjoyed our dinner very much. First trip to Vancouver BC and to this restaurant. The food was wonderful and she made some great recommendations. We will get back before our vacation is over.

This Earls location is close to many hotels downtown. We love to drop in for food or even just drinks. Service always friendly. Selection of food for all tastes.

Service was good, food was ok. Washroom is upstairs which may not be ideal for some. A decent restaurant but needs to improve the menu and food quality. The rack of ribs tasted like out of the box but the pizza was good.

Our reservations were for 6pm and service was very poor. We had to request a server come by to take our 2x and our order was taken by the manager at the 20 minute mark and advise them that we had a show at 720. The server finally came by without an apology and avoided the situation at our table all together. Our meals arrived at 7 and the manager apologized for the delay. The server still did not acknowledge her poor service. She dropped off our bill and the manager came by with an adjusted bill for the poor service and experience we had. I have dined at Earls for a number of years and this was the first time that I have ever had an awful dining experience. The manger did an exceptional job to address the situation however the server’s behaviour and service was unprofessional and exceptionally poor.

Always a pleasure! I love the test kitchen, as there are always ample plant-based creations available on the menu. They have a very nice wine list, and always have very pleasant staff. Definitely one of my favourite places to dine, casually or for a special occasion. This place checks all the boxes.

Errors with order .. requested plain burger for kid got dressed .. brought new burger .. my steak not warm ..quite dry .. visiting friend did not like her food .. love Earls generally .. did not like table by door .. felt like I was in a lobby .. no ice in my soft drink .. errors all around … but generally chose Earls

I used to come to Earls with friends all the time before watching a movie. We haven't had the chance for a while, so it was nice to finally return. Our server, Lorena (I apologise if I have gotten her name wrong), was outstanding; she was attentive, saw to our every need and made the visit memorable. I can't commend her enough, due to her service alone, we will be making an effort to return to Earls again more often.

The yuzu calamari was delicious and cooked perfectly. The other dish was the roasted chicken fettuccini Alfredo was tasty. Also had the new England clam chowder and the truffle fries. Very good. Great service and wonderful staff.

Came back here a week later than my 5 star review and what a difference- curry chicken was small chopped up thigh meat with all the fat left in do every mouthful had fat , would be better to leave chicken whole so fat can be removed in one piece. Food was cold so was returned the manager did cover the cost of our newly ordered meals but evening was disjointed as we did not eat together Personal taste after eating ribs n chicken chips for over 10 years the new presentation of mixing potato salad and coleslaw with meat on top did not work for us. Why change a meal that is so popular and worked ? Earls us our go to place and was first time in over 20 years two of our party tried some new (curry) which was a disaster those who stuck with our usual ribs n chicken were a little disappointed Unsure what to order now

The drink was not good! I was like “ are you sure u did put alcohol in that??? Just ice!!! Never felt I drink a cocktail!!!!! However, the place is really nice, with good ambience, and cute. It was my fourth time there!

One of our party had the crab cake and was not up to what she remembered. The servicer was helpful and charged her half. I had the beef sliders and they were ok, but not much beef. I did not mention to server.

Helpful and friendly staff, makes for a way more enjoyable dining experience. Was very nice atmosphere. Beautiful inside. Wasn’t too loud that we could talk easily. Very nice and delicious food!

Seafood platter was amazing! Service was really hospitable and our table was clearly the best in the house. Thank you!

The food was mediocre though it had the potential to be good if more care had been taken in the kitchen. Mixed drinks were ok though I would have doubted there was any alcohol in them had I not requested a Grand Marnier floater in my margarita. The Yuzu calamari was good and probably the highlight of the meal. Dinner was less successful. The salmon was overcooked, the rice was flavorless and the asparagus stringy. Would have been nice to actually have a sprinkling of feta in the dish to accent it instead of being pureed into a just ok green sauce. Also tried the crab cakes which were chock full of filler. Who puts frozen corn in a crab cake? It was just not right. Needless to say I wouldn't bother going here again even if someone else was paying.

Very busy but exciting atmosphere. Food was disappointing as it was mediocre.

I ordered half some of my foods and drinks during happy hour which was after 10 pm, but I got charged for the full amount. Didn’t checked my bill right away but I got overcharged.

When you walk through the front door, the host team does such a great job in setting the tone for your dining experience. Professional, friendly, efficient, they manage the flow beautifully and are always able to accommodate my seating presence — which is a huge bonus. The servers are top rate as is the food, though the prices can be a bit on the pricey side. Love coming back here several times a week. Well done on a great experience and product.
