Despite having a reservation for an indoor table, the hostess put us outside, promising it was heated and enclosed. They only turned heat on every 20 min or so… and never asked if we eye ok. Then the waiter botched our order… twice…which might have been ok if anyone had come to check on us… but we were alone in the cold corner for like 20-25 min with missing food. Also… never asked if we wanted a second drink or even a water refill. Totally unsatisfied. For the price point ($20 drinks?! )the focus on consumer satisfaction needs to be much, much better.

The service was a little Slow…we waited a longer than normal amount of time for water and to order drinks. One cocktail arrived at the table after a bit of a wait and then after 5 minutes we had to ask for the other —so it was a bit unfortunate that we drank our cocktails “alone”. it is loud in the restaurant and a little hard to converse. The food was very good and our drinks, although delayed, were good.

Nadia was an excellent waitress first of all, she made great suggestions. The claim chowder was great. I suggested to the manager - Kathy - that they enter their claim chowder in the 'Chowderfest' if they can at City Hall Plaza.

Food was delicious! Everything from the poke to the tortellini was amazing! Isabelle was an amazing waitress and super sweet. The food was very quick to come out and dessert was amazing as well. Definitely recommend! Thank for making the night special Isabelle!

Made a reservation for a large party (work dinner) and requested to be on the patio. Called to confirm our party could be accommodated on the patio after making the reservation ~1 month in advance, and was assured it would be. Day of, we arrive to hear that they cannot honor the outdoor reservation despite it being a sunny, almost 80 degree day. They provide no explanation as to why and say they attempted to call me 3 times in the past hour (this was a lie, they did not call me) to let me know. I explained that we could not eat here if we couldn't sit outside, as someone in our party was not able to do outdoor dining. 10 min later they are somehow magically able to seat us outside. Upon arriving at the patio, it was clear that they weren't even busy, which made the decision not to honor our outdoor seating request even more confounding. They needlessly separated our party into 2 groups side-by-side, even though there was enough room for one long table. I was in the 1st group. The service was acceptable, though one person got her entree at the same time that they were serving appetizers (her dish was clearly an entree and not a shared appetizer). The service for the 2nd group was horrendous. The 1st group received appetizers, drinks, entrees before the 2nd group even got their drinks. They had to wait nearly 2 hours to be served any food. It was so bad that I gave them half of my pizza entree as an appetizer. This was chalked up to a "kitchen glitch" and no apology or compensation was offered. This is probably the worst service that I have ever received in any restaurant in my 8+ years living in Boston and I will not be returning.

Sat promptly, staff was friendly, food was made perfectly. The two things I’ll call out are; 1) don’t park in the south garage, it’s a huge inconvenience to get to the restaurant from there. 2) an admin fee was tacked on to the bill, reason given in summary was that they did it during Covid and thought it was a good idea to keep it so that kitchen staff can receive bonuses…this was ridiculous to me, but apparently not to Earls, you can decide for yourself, I had it removed.

Two main dishes steaks were cold and returned to the kitchen , after 15 min got steaks but managment even didn’t apologize for delay and offer complimentary desert or something else

Earls had one issue with a meal (longer than usual wait time) during out Mother's Day outing - the manager course corrected by owning up to the mistake. Our server was great and corrected the bill and comped our party accordingly. We will be back!

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. (Hi, Harrison!) I definitely felt well and in good company. My server must have had a certain charm because I noticed the adjacent tables being interested and chatty with him. Cocktails and wine were great! My martini glass was chipped though. I told my server the next time he came around, and he offered to get a new glass. It wasn't a big deal to me though, and I asked him to only handle the glass after I was done drinking. (I was concerned the next person may cut themselves if they aren't paying attention.) I had a dirty martini with gin and lychee martini. My partner had a glass of red wine. (Santa Barbara, I think?) I had a sip, and it was lovely. The food was good too except my partner, who ordered a margherita pizza, was expecting the cheese to be more evenly dispersed and the basil finer cut. Instead, the mozzarella polka dots the pizza in circles a little bigger than a quarter and the basil is a small leaf that sits on the mozzarella. It wasn't bad, but my partner isn't a fan of that style of margherita. We shared truffle fries, (would recommend), and I had a kale + mushroom pizza for myself. Dessert came around, and I was too indecisive and asked my server to surprise me with which he recommended his favorite, the key lime pie. We later found out it was unavailable due to demand, and he followed up with a second recommendation, the basque cheesecake. I would order it again sometime! The cheesecake was just the right amount of sweet and tangy and paired well with the berries accompanying it.

I had great service. The ambiance is very nice and definitely a vibe. The food was mid at best. I had a crab cake appetizer. When you are in Boston, you have increased expectations. The crab cake had a lot of filler, including leafy and corn ingredients. Crabs should have one dominant ingredients: lump crab meat. It failed. The steak lacked seasoning and they do not have traditional steak sauces. The steak was a good cut, proper temperature but zero taste. Again, failed. Overall, my experience was a C+. That was largely the service and environment. This was my first experience with Earls, and likely my last. Disappointment

Worst service experience. Twenty minutes after finishing our food we had to flag down the waitress to ask for the check. Twenty minutes after that still no check. We asked again and she tried to run off without giving us the check. At that point we had to demand the check. We’ve been here many times and the food is good, but we probably won’t return or recommend to anyone after this experience.

The surf and turf came EXTREMELY spicy, without any warning beforehand! We couldn't have more than two bites of the steak. The sushi also was very dry and plain.

The waiter was extremely rude and dismissed our questions, he got his manager who was even worse! Told us to read the menu, defended the waiter, and got angry for asking about an item on the menu that was removed 3 years ago. I was a student here 4 years ago and haven’t been back since then, so it was only natural to ask about old items! 100% do not recommend and on top of all of that, the place smelled so bad!

Disappointing experience on our wedding anniversary. Made a reservation for a patio table, but they appeared to have overbooked so we were seated in the bar area of the patio rather than at a proper table for two. The table was in the middle of the room so it was very loud and exposed. When the appetizers arrived, the waiter took my drink away before I had finished it (and before I had a chance to stop him!), which was disappointing. And finally, they brought me the wrong entree. I had ordered the steak with sushi. But they brought me steak frites. Rather than take it back to the kitchen and fix it, I was told to keep the steak and the sushi was brought out separate. Disappointing again because the steak preparation was not the same as I would have gotten with my original order. In addition the steak was prepared with so much pepper that I hard it was hard to enjoy the beef over the peppery burn. We left without getting dessert and ended up going to the North End for cannoli instead (where we regretted our decision not to eat dinner in the North End too!). Probably a fun stop for tourists in the Back Bay or for drinks after work, but I would not recommend it for a romantic evening out and I won’t be returning.

Food was ok. Quality used to be much better. Have been going here for 5 years and this was most likely our last time here. Food is overpriced for the value you get. You are basically paying for a chain restaurant in the Prudential center. For spending ~$200 on a meal the service was mediocre at best. Took us 10 minutes from the time we sat down to be seen by a waiter/waitress. Would recommend only for ambiance at best.

Caroline was INCREDIBLE!! It was a super busy evening (college graduation season) and she made sure to be attentive, helpful, and handled everything with professionalism & energy! The burger & tuna sushi roll were both 10/10 and Caroline’s kindness was the finishing touch to the night!

Were out of 3 things we wanted to order. Took a VERY long time to receive our food and it didn't seem to be very warm - maybe sitting around which is why it took so long to get it. Where I was sitting was very cold - had to wear my coat. Waiter did his best and was very polite but took too long to get our food.

The service was incredible, we felt like our server was attentive but not hovering or pushy to move us along. The food and drinks were good, though some of the food came out cold when it shouldn't have been. We went on a Friday night and the restaurant was packed and somewhat loud (not unexpected for a Friday).

Really bad service, have to wait for so lkng to get someone come to order and check. Took my ID when I purchased alcohol alcohol and never give me back until I ask. I also ask for a couple bucks to take out leftover, I told the waitress there are three dishes that need to take out including one soup and she ended up only give us one box. ????

Earl's has been a favorite for years but recently I went with a few friends and was somewhat disappointed. I love getting the spicy tuna rolls but boy they cut down on the portion size. Tiny rolls, no spice and not many of them. Also, the garden salad lacked much from the garden with only lettuce, a few croutons and a few red radish slices. Only ONE option for dressing I was told. ?? and the waiter brought me pure vinegar saying that was the only option for balsamic dressing. It was odd. Our server was sweet and did take the salad off the bill and mentioned she agreed about the limited options f(only 1 option) or dressings.

Very pleasantly surprised about the quality of the food. Took my parents here and they were very happy, so I am very happy. The seafood was really fresh and the chicken and bbq ribs were very tender.

Supper disappointed with my server. We asked for a straw because my son has sensitivity to cold drinks and the server never brought it over. 20 minutes later we had to ask someone else. When our food came out, not ONE time did he ask how it was, if we needed anything else, nothing at all! I would have liked to have some pepper. We had to literally ask for a box and the check. It was ridiculous! Food was good. I still provided a 20% tip even thou the service was dreadful… Probably will not go back to the Prudential location again for awhile.

this was my third time back to earls, i loved the place but this time back i brought my mother for her birthday and the whole menu has changed so it was like coming for the first time. PROS: *the staff there was excellent just very busy, even got to meet the manager very stylish and lively. *the place is gorgeous and very energetic. *they are attentive as much as possible. PRO/CON *food arrived cold to the table but the flavor was there. CONS: *they suggested a birthday shot for the birthday girl but this was not on the house and we didn't even get the birthday dessert brought to our table even though i booked it as a birthday dinner. *drinks didn't meet the price value.

They were very gracious with us. The high seats were a little too snug for me and I requested for a different spot. They were very busy and still managed to love us to another table without a wait. Good food as well.

We had a large party and our waiter was on top of things throughout the meal, he was very kind- pulling our chairs out and pushing them in as we sat, and a fun ball of energy- having a good time with us as we celebrated a bachelorette party. We had a fantastic time and he was a big part of what made it so enjoyable!
