Brian Dunsmoor’s namesake restaurant, Dunsmoor, is the latest iteration of his ongoing exploration of American heritage cooking. It is, first and foremost, a restaurant for the community that surrounds it, and a loving expression of the relentless research that has informed his cooking for the last ten years.

We offer the full menu at tables in our dining room and at the chef's counter, as well as at our outdoor tables. Reservations are recommended but we make every effort to accommodate walk-ins when possible.

Dunsmoor's wine bar, accessible either through the restaurant or via its own door on Ave 35, does not accept reservations and serves a limited menu of our raw and larder items.

Dunsmoor just gets better and better! We had an amazing meal with incredible wines by the glass. Their dates in brown butter were incredible with their sesame bread. The soft shell crab was perfect as well. All of it, the salmon, Crudo, and the whole grilled trout.!! All wow. And stellar service. Can’t wait to go back.

Dunsmoor is my favorite restaurant in LA. The food is incredible, the ambiance is warm and beautiful and timeless, the music is lovely and not too loud, and it never fails. I took my sister and parents to celebrate my birthday tonight, and it’s so nice to have a go-to spot where we can all hear each other talk over a meal that - miraculously - all four of us, with varying dietary needs and high bars all around, loved.

Great aesthetic, loved the wood fires cooking all the meals. Service was top notch, high quality staff. Food was good, the liver pâté was amazing. There were extras mixed in that I forget but its a must. The shrimp were good, but nothing special. The lamb was very tasty and a good portion as well. I know I know booze is where the markup is is but my goodness did the wine seem too expensive. Bring your own and pay corkage fee. Like a lot of trendy places, it was loud! Not bestia of bavel loud where you couldn’t converse but still too loud to relax.

Start to finish, the meal was exceptional, with the food and the wine being the stars and why we'll keep coming back.

Cosy spot. Everything was delicious (even the vanilla ice cream which seems so basic but it's special). Wine was so good. Expensive, so not somewhere I would go regularly - more just for special occasions.

One of the best meals I’ve had in LA. Just wish the servers hadn’t rushed us so much. They took plates when there was still food on them. Still will be back

Decent ambiance, okay wine list, food was extremely underwhelming and overpriced. The music was on point though. The popular cornbread was the star of the show, but the only star in the show. The 32oz ribeye was not very good, definitely not worth the order, pass on that one. The chicken liver was alright. Pickled veggies were good. Our waiter also loved mentioning how we did not order a lot food and must be light eaters. Overall - 6/10 Won’t come back

The restaurant designed is for sharing dishes. My friend and I agreed on everything except she had the asparagus salad and I had the crab soup. The soup was delicious!! If you like butter there was plenty on the cornbread and mashed potatoes. We will return because the staff was friendly, the food was tasty, and it was easy to park when using the valet.
