Brian Dunsmoor’s namesake restaurant, Dunsmoor, is the latest iteration of his ongoing exploration of American heritage cooking. It is, first and foremost, a restaurant for the community that surrounds it, and a loving expression of the relentless research that has informed his cooking for the last ten years.

We offer the full menu at tables in our dining room and at the chef's counter, as well as at our outdoor tables. Reservations are recommended but we make every effort to accommodate walk-ins when possible.

Dunsmoor's wine bar, accessible either through the restaurant or via its own door on Ave 35, does not accept reservations and serves a limited menu of our raw and larder items.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently moved into the neighborhood and decided to take a pleasant walk to check out Dunsmoor. Let me just say, this place is a gem! It’s easily the best restaurant I’ve been to in a really long time. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel right at home with their incredibly friendly demeanor and spot-on recommendations. The Chopped Chicken Liver? Pure bliss. And the Bay Scallop Tartare? Simply out of this world. Each dish was more delicious than the last, making it hard to pick a favorite. I’m already excited to come back and explore more of their menu. If you’re in the area, Dunsmoor is a must-visit. Five stars all the way!

The food here is amazing. Almost every dish is served with a variety of fresh herbs and the (one-room) dining space is beautiful. Service was A+ The potential drawbacks (depending on your company) are: -It's LOUD - One big room, with high ceilings, makes for a loud room. - Communal Seating - A good amount of seating is communal. (I did not realize) Communal Seating + Loud room= A very challenging hearing environment I think about my parents (60's) here and we wouldn't be able to converse here.

The food at Dunsmoor was delicious and the service was very good. Our wait person was very attentive and helpful. The issue was the very loud music that was playing. We had trouble hearing our dinner companions because of that loud music. We asked to have the music turned down, which it was for a while, but then it became very loud again. I would also suggest that, when music is played, it not sound like a very loud grunge band.

Dunsmoor was just ok. If you’re a vegetarian, pescatarian, or vegan this is not the place. It is so expensive. They kept pushing the shared plate concept but when our “teacup” size soup was brought to the table it was laughable. I think it was $18.00. I don’t know how you share something that small without double dipping. I mean it was on the verge of a parody. I’m really not sure what the hype about this place is. I’ve given it 4 chances and now I know I won’t be back. Also the music was sooooo loud I couldn’t. Really have a conversation with my dinner partner.

Food was amazing service was great! Loved the steak and grilled shrimp! Since it is a open kitchen with a fire grill it was very very hot in there especially sitting at the counter.

Dusnmor in Glassell Park, Los Angeles, CA offers a mix of hits and ok dishes. While the duck ham and spring Caesar salad are good, I personally prefer a romaine lettuce Caesar salad. The sour milk cornbread and beef rib eye steal the show with their absolutely delicious flavors. Oh soooooo tasty! Definitely worth a try for the standout dishes. Give Dunsmor a try. You will not be disappointed.
