Very impressive a la cart menu and service was very good , food was delicious, only fault was the white Bread it was a bit dry but brown bread was adorable, thank you for a lovely experience, we will be back

Very Disappointing Apologies, I don't like leaving bad reviews for hard working individuals in the restaurant industry but, on this occasion, feel I have to in the hope of some improvement in standards. Starters were distinctly average. The 'Double Baked Goats Cheese' is over priced at £11.95 for 1cm slice of goats cheese on a rock hard bruschetta with no dressing. All 4 had fish for our main and they were all awful. We're convinced they had been cooked in advance and warmed up for service. One piece of fish was warm on one side but cold on the other, as if it had been microwaved, badly. The fish was all dry, overcooked, no dressings and chorizo on one choice hadn't been cooked - none of us could finish our meal. However, the waiting staff were excellent and deserve to be serving better quality food.

We have lived in Deal for. Few years and for some reason never thought to eat at Dunkerley’s. With a friend staying in the hotel we thought we’d try it out. What a delightful surprise. The dinner was superb as was the service. Without question, this was one of the best meals I’ve had in Deal and will make this a regular stop from now on. Also want to give an extra thanks to Louisa for great service.

The food was outstanding and the whole dining experience was second to non. I've not had a restaurant meal of that calibre in a long time. Good value for money and the ladies that served us (Anika) were so very attentive and really looked after us. We loved every minute!

All great apart from little atmosphere. It was very quiet in the dining room on a Friday night. We enjoyed the wine and food and found it great value.

Nice ambiance, comfortable dining chairs, wine by the glass very reasonably priced. But the Rye bread and the butter were straight out of the fridge. Not good. A nice evening in a great place on Deal seafront.

We ate at the restaurant on Saturday 18th February and had the 4 course Valentines menu at £33 pp.All if the food was delicious ,the main course of salmon was served piping hot,just how I like it.The service was great,food,table water and wine were served efficiently. The background music,80s songs ,was a lovely touch and added to the ambience. Overall it was a lovely dining experience from the start to the finish and we would go back again.

Food is excellent with plenty of choice. We all had different items form the menu (both a la carta and set menu) and it was all perfectly cooked and presented. Staff are friendly and keen to please.

My husband and I had the most delightful evening here. The staff were so attentive and friendly and the food really delicious. I had the grilled sole which was so good and my husband the sea bass which was so tasty too. A lovely buzzy atmosphere too. All in all a really lovely place to have super food and a delightful evening out.

An excellent evening. The food was top quality and well cooked. The service also was exceptional, with polite staff and attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble. The owner also took the trouble to come over to ask how everything was. We will definitely be visiting Dunkerleys again

We came to celebrate my daughters 20th birthday and she wanted to have lobster for the first time in her life. We chose this restaurant for that reason ALONE!!!. there was no lobster. I should have been informed of this as I arrived but instead we didn't find out until they finally took our order at approximately 6.20 our table was for 6pm. We also wanted oysters and there was only 3 so was given those for free. Which we appreciated but was really upset with no lobster. So we ended up choosing the crab main... it unfortunately was the worst crab I have ever eaten. It would have tasted much better plain. I spent around £200 in total including drink but we both left hungry which was very disappointing

Dunkerleys in Deal was a real treat. Food is priced fairly, the most comfortable seats ever in a restaurant! Excellent lunchtime menu, something for everyone! Choice of 3 course fixed price or al la carte. Wines not over priced. Fairly noisy but it was 18th Dec with excited diners. Staff helpful, friendly and kind. We are going to book for my Birthday in January. Highly recommend.

My starter of seared scallops was tasty but barely warm. The half lobster shell contained only a miniscule amount of meat in my main course which was nearly buried in pile of chips as if to make up for the lack of lobster. It was not the chefs best performance, sadly.

What a fantastic 'Halloween-themed' evening. The 5-course meal was excellent and with each course matched to a glass of wine it was incredible value for money. Ian was his normal energetic and attentive self! We have already booked in for the next Gourmet night.

Disappointed with the lunch menu. Expected more fish dishes to choose. Had expectations of a more upmarket fish specialist restaurant. Thought the restaurant decor was tired The service was good and the prices were reasonable

A lovely welcome. The dining room is spacious with enough space between tables and good window seats. The bar/indoor terrace has high tables and is more casual, but still very nice. There is another area with banquette seating too. Service was very attentive and helpful. One of our party had gluten and dairy allergies, the kitchen adjusted the menu with no fuss. Large portions, fresh fish, well cooked and delicious. Not cheap but overall good value.

Food was delicious, service was a bit slow. Bottle of wine was expensive, you can purchase the same bottle from a supermarket for less than half the price!
