Cons; no salt and pepper on the tables (had to go looking for it as no staff around at the time), entire salad that accompanied the double baked goats cheese starter was warm/limp. It felt quite stuffy in the restaurant after a while but that could be down to my age 😔 Pros; lovely, quiet atmosphere but we were the fist people in the restaurant so had the place to ourselves for the majority of our meal. Service was quick and staff were friendly. The lamb shoulder was absolutely divine and made up for any negatives 🤤 Would definitely dine here again on our next trip to Deal.

Lovely place, with a calm atmosphere, slightly old-fashioned (in a good way) vibe and simple, beautifully-prepared food. Asparagus with poached egg and hollandaise was exemplary, and the roast chicken and salmon mainswere excellent too. Roast beef slightly tough for my mother, but that might say more about her than the chef! Ice cream portions were very generous and all flavours delicious, especially Ginger+ Berries, and Salted Caramel (though we couldn't detect much rhubarb in that one). Friendly, discreet service and generally left us feeling well looked after. Superb value.

Very impressive a la cart menu and service was very good , food was delicious, only fault was the white Bread it was a bit dry but brown bread was adorable, thank you for a lovely experience, we will be back

Very Disappointing Apologies, I don't like leaving bad reviews for hard working individuals in the restaurant industry but, on this occasion, feel I have to in the hope of some improvement in standards. Starters were distinctly average. The 'Double Baked Goats Cheese' is over priced at £11.95 for 1cm slice of goats cheese on a rock hard bruschetta with no dressing. All 4 had fish for our main and they were all awful. We're convinced they had been cooked in advance and warmed up for service. One piece of fish was warm on one side but cold on the other, as if it had been microwaved, badly. The fish was all dry, overcooked, no dressings and chorizo on one choice hadn't been cooked - none of us could finish our meal. However, the waiting staff were excellent and deserve to be serving better quality food.

Excellent food good choice very reasonable prices and great staff highly enjoyable evening would definitely eat there again and would recommend this restaurant

We have lived in Deal for. Few years and for some reason never thought to eat at Dunkerley’s. With a friend staying in the hotel we thought we’d try it out. What a delightful surprise. The dinner was superb as was the service. Without question, this was one of the best meals I’ve had in Deal and will make this a regular stop from now on. Also want to give an extra thanks to Louisa for great service.

The food was outstanding and the whole dining experience was second to non. I've not had a restaurant meal of that calibre in a long time. Good value for money and the ladies that served us (Anika) were so very attentive and really looked after us. We loved every minute!

All great apart from little atmosphere. It was very quiet in the dining room on a Friday night. We enjoyed the wine and food and found it great value.
