We had a lovely relaxed time for our 25th wedding anniversary meal. Staff were lovely. Very friendly and attentive. Steaks were cooked to perfection.. Delicious meal. Loved the extra touch of the happy anniversary desert. View of the lighthouse and golf course stunning with a lovely sunset. Really made our 25th anniversary special.Will be back.

Superb lunch in a beautiful setting. Waiting staff were great in particular Robbie. Lunch was for a birthday so the little fruit plate with happy birthday was appreciated.

Lovely dinner in relaxed atmosphere. We preferred the menu at the golf club than the hotel restaurant. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful and food was delicious, portions were massive.

Staff were reasonable attentive however we made a request for no tomato on a sandwich and it came, seemingly with extra tomato, the restaurant was empty so not a case of being rushed off their feet etc. Otherwise not too bad.

We always book in at the Duel in the Sun when we’re in Ayrshire - fabulous place, gorgeous scenery - eat early and take a walk along to the lighthouse for the sunset. The restaurant has huge tables so you’re not cramped, the food is lovely and the small plates menu (before 6pm) is a lovely idea if you don’t want a massive meal. The staff are lovely and the estate is beautiful. The only other place we’ve eaten as good as this is the Stillwater bar and grill at Pebble Beach. We will definitely be back (again!)
