On this, The restaurants original site, Doyles on the Beach opened Australia's first seafood restaurant in 1885. We have been family owned and operated for over 5 generations.

The restaurant internationally famous and a mecca for Sydneysiders and tourists alike, offering a stunning range of fresh seafood for lunch and dinner, 7 days a week.

Family Friendly, Great for date night!, indoor & outdoor dining located right next to the beach. We cater for families, business lunches, special events, weddings & special occasions. private rooms available.

Visit our newly opened open-air Garden Bar (open daily 11.30am - late) , try one of our refreshing cocktails, a draught beer or a glass of wine before dining in the restaurant or why not order from the garden bar menu. (reservations excepted for both the restaurant & garden bar)

Our favourite seafood restaurant which we have dined in many times over the years. Julie our waitress is the best and we thank her for making our special day even more special. Great service, great food and a special day. Thank you.

The location and views are outstanding. The waitress was excellent, attentive and obliging. The snapper fish and chips were very good, great batter, seasoned well and tasted fresh. The letdown was the share plate scallops as they were tiny and rubbery, overcooked and very pricey. The bugs had great taste with the condiments but again a little overcooked, not as much as the scallops but on the verge of being rubbery. If we had only ordered the fish and chips it would have 5 star all round. Good wine list and we ordered a half bottle of Chablis, much better than the usual offerings of Sav Blanc. Great ambience, location is second to none.

Attended Doyles where I have been a patron for many many years. Ordered seafood platter which was acceptable but the Pipi Lasagna ($58) I thought would HAVE to be good. Expecting a full large plate of aldente pasta, we were presented a miserable almost entree sized plate of overcooked overpriced ($58) pasta which was less than what I would have expected from a roadside cafe. The desert description featured "rocky road ice-cream or sorbet" well it was just a plate of ice-cream I complained and they knocked the desert off our bill but went on to explain that was their standard rocky road product. A misddescription. $58 for a plate of overcooked pasta? No no never again

Until the waiting staff receive better training or are replaced with individuals who truly believe in above average hospitality service, I will not recommend Doyles on the Beach. Also, the meals were extremely overpriced and underwhelming. Your staff need to focus on all patrons, not just the ones they feel like taking care of. Our meals had missing cutlery, and our badly stained white table cloth was not replaced The staff gave the distinct impression that they did not care about or make us feel welcome. Maybe this doesn't happen all the time, but on this occasion it did. A renowned establishment as yours should be at the top of your game all the time especially given the prices you charge.

My wife and I visited this restaurant to celebrate our 51st Wedding Anniversary. The weather was warm and sunny. The view down the harbour from our table was spectactular. The food was delicious. And our waitress (Issy) was wonderful. In fact, everything was perfect.

Food and service were very good. Value for money not so good. Also can you bring back the traditional mussel dish with white wine, shallots, garlic etc because it was fantastic. The current dish isn’t great

We celebrated a family birthday at Doyle’s. On booking I requested a high chair. On arrival at Doyle’s we were greeted in a friendly way. Baby and all were made to feel welcome. High chair was provided without having to ask. Our waitress was so attentive and happy to meet every request. Food was excellent. We were not seated on top of others so noise level was not an issue at all. Couples were seated away from groups which was thoughtful. View was stunning. We arrived at sunset so got full benefit of the view. I would recommend Doyle’s to small or large groups or an intimate twosome.

Ordered Barramundi grilled with leek and pippis The sauce and its presentation was not edible and looked as if it had been slapped onto the plate as an afterthought Leek had not been cooked properly and likewise inedible Our complaints about the poor quality of the food was extremely well handled by the waitress and manager - our wine was not charged for and we were given a free dessert

I have waited over 4yrs to come back from the UK to Doyles Watson Bay for my Scallops & Lobster Mornay & champagne. Well I was so disappointed it was NOT the same! The Tasmanian Scallops were NOT they were pieces of a scallop (thumb nail size) covered in lots of sauce to fill the shell, you could hardly find them! My Lobster I was given a choice, Small Medium Large or XLarge. So very happy I went for Medium because the small would have been ALL SHELL like the Scallops 👎🏻 Heading back to UK now totally disgusted with my meal. I did however mention this to the waitress who was going to mention it to the Manager but needless to say he didn’t appear, so I paid & left. So very disappointed with everything, they have grown quite large & lost the customer personal touch with excellent food size

We always make the pilgrimage to Watson's Bay whenever we're in Sydney and as usual, Doyle's delivers. Fresh and delicious food in a wonderful setting.

A final visit to Doyles before returning to the UK. Bridget looked after us magnificently ably supported by Ella and Noah. What a venue. Saw sunset and it was just stunning. Great food and delicious wine, yet another great experience

Outstanding ambiance with a spectacular view of the city skyline at dusk! The entree platter was ‘padded out’ with a delicious smoked salmon, the scallops were over cooked and had been spilled by the clumsy wait staff. The octopus was delicious. The prawns had a wonderful smoky flavour but were so dry the flesh stuck hard to the shell making them very difficult to peel. Our whole medium lobster was dry and tough. The nut cracker provided was inadequate for crushing the tiny hollow legs… very little meat to speak of in the legs due to the over cooking. Honestly I expected more! The service was clumsy, the waiter inattentive and the cost, prohibitive. There was a single sparkling wine that was not a Prosecco or a Brut option… and at $79 it was an underwhelming choice. Give it a miss if you have a delicate palate and don’t have money to burn!

Doyle's has become a family tradition when I visit Sydney. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, especially at sunset. I love sitting outside looking over the water and onto the Sydney skyline. The service is always superb, only to be surpassed by the food! We have been here at least a dozen times over the past nine years and it never disappoints. This visit was no exception. We always order the hot & cold platter along with the catch of the day and it is not only cooked to perfection, it easily feeds six people. If you've never visited Doyle's on the Beach, you are missing a treat.

Doyle’s is a must on any visit to Sydney. Fourth visit to Sydney and Fourth visit to Doyle’s. Last time was 20 years ago and wonderful service and food as good as ever.

TERIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Ordered non spicy as cannot eat spicy, waiter confirmed, but food came out full of red chiles. Sent back and kitchen tried to cheat us by removing the chilis, and food was still super hot. Sent back for round #2, which took 30 minutes, so everyone else was done eating on our table... The the muscles were under cooked and many were not opened, which is not safe to eat. So we called manger Alica, which said oh just open and just eat, haha this is a death trap. I asked her to eat them and she refused. The waiter was good and not his fault! Manager does not understand customer service. My wife got sick from the bad shell fish... DO NOT EAT HERE SO SUCKIE

Slightly disappointing with the quality and taste of the food tonight. The grilled fish was dry, and chips taste was just not there. Unfortunately not the best meal we’ve had there, the staff and the view made up for the night however
