Welcome to Down the Hatch - EDINBURGH!

We are a diner focusing on diner style food with big flavour, fresh ingredients, huge taste and all things Canadian!!

Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult and are not permitted from 8pm onwards.

We have a 10 minute grace period for your booking. Please give us a call if you are running late for your booking.

Your table will be booked for 1 hour 15 minutes for bookings of up to 6 people; and 1 hour 45 minutes for bookings of 7+.

We have a limited number of outside tables. These are not bookable at the moment and are on a first come, first served basis.

Last bookings are 9.15pm as our kitchen closes at 9.45pm, 7 days a week.

Sadly didn't get what we ordered first time round but they did rectify it, so dinner was staggered. Very disappointed with boozy slushy.. would have been nice to have in glass not a child's plastic flimsy cup....and very small especially for price....

The service from all members of staff was exceptional- all very friendly and kind however we were shocked at how little value it was for the food. The portion sizes were very small compared to what they were - but the prices stayed the same. As much as I’d like to support the wonderful staff for their hard work I find it hard to see the value in the food.

Staff were very welcoming, friendly and very attentive. Drinks were served very quickly and the food arrived soon after and was delicious. We sat at the bar area after we had eaten as had a lovely relaxed feel, will definitely be back

Food was amazing I was stuffed afterwards and had to go lie down! Highly recommend the house poutine and the iced pornstar martini was so good we had a 2nd one will definitely return next time in the area

Food was good and well worth the price, but very disappointed in the size of the raspberry daiquiri, it was tiny and definitely wasn’t worth £10.

Service and food were great, music was a bit loud, we went as a family and couldn't hear each other. Would definitely go back
