Down South CaJJun Eats was founded by twin brothers Jahmaal and Jermaine Dumes in the Spring of 2017. While Studying at Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX they decided to take a leap of faith. Originally from Beaumont, TX, they felt a tremendous part of their lives was missing in Austin. And that was Crawfish!!

Coming from a family of cooks, they’ve always dreamed of starting a restaurant in their home state. With the help and support of family and friends, they were able to make this dream come alive.

We take pride in our authentic style of cooking and strive to give you the full Down South CaJJun experience with great food, great people, and a great time! Bringing the great taste of Southeast Texas/Louisiana to Austin!

The ac was out. It's was so hot in there the frozen drinks melted. Also the music was entirely too loud and they add extra charges for drinks and food. The food wasn't hot and not good.

Everything was delightful except the temperature in the building. It was a bit hot inside the restaurant but about halfway through our meal, a kind employee or manager turned on a fan near our table. We were thankful for that!

Attended the Mother's day brunch. They handed me a rose upon entry. Great food, drinks and music. Staff was friendly and professional. Prices are reasonable.

food was AMAZING, great atmosphere, good vibes with music and hookahs. waitstaff confused a few of our guest plates as different people were bringing out our food and not specifying what all was on it that was specific to what we were ordering.

Went for R&B night they literally played everything but R&B. Music loud service slow which was concerning seeing that no one was even in there. Prices were too high for what was being offered. It was SXSW weekend so I am willing to give it another try.
