Chef Lucca has a great menu. The pate, the shrimp, the fettuccine, an off menu chicken breast, etc., mousse dessert was exceptional. The salumi platter was all done in house, including crackers. This was our third visit, each great. A confirmed go to in east bay. By the way, our server. Natale was great.

Amazing food and wine experience with 4 wines from Sardinia matched to 4 Sardinian dishes. Chef Gianluca and sommelier Erico doing an amazing job, bringing in unique and lesser known Venters from Italy and cooking delicious and unique dishes. We love this wonderful restaurant team.

We were a party of four last night and had an enjoyable meal some dishes more successful than others, it was our second visit. Cocktails were wine, the Violet infused cocktail and some orange bourbon drink and they were just okay, kind of pricey wouldn't order the same ones again. We shared two appetizers, pate and cheese flan. The flan was very mild, almost bland but nice, the pate was by far the favorite. Entrees were the steak, Capelleti, another pasta dish, and the pasta with duck on the pre fixe menu. Pasta portions are kind of small but everyone enjoyed. The standout was the Capelleti would return just for that. The steak was underwhelming. It was so hyped up by the server and it was disappointingly flavorless and I didn't care for the olive oil on the side with a green sauce. Just tasted oily. Desserts were a strawberry en croute dish from the pre fixe menu and some type of cheesecake, ok but bland. Cappucinos were good. Overall, it's a lovely place to dine with some outstanding dishes and some just ok. There was so much hype from the server about these dishes that we ended up feeling a little disappointed with some. The place has a lot of charm, they give you sweeteners In a little tin mint box and the bill comes in a book, either a travel guide or italian dictionary. The tab was just over $400 + we gave a 20% tip before tax and their $10 cost of living surcharge. Pretty pricey I'd say, should be 5 star all the way for these prices IMO. Honestly had prices been softer I would have given a better overall review. Expectations get much higher with these prices. That being said they have a great vibe, friendly, welcoming and some interesting and amazing dishes. The trick is trying to ascertain which ones, especially with all of the hype.

Love the look and feel of the restaurant. Long very nice bar along one side of restaurant Semi-separated from dining area. Lots of separate booths and tables of varying sizes. Super nice looking and clean. I had the papparadelle pasta. It was very beautifully served but the pasta was not just Al dente, it was kind of hard. And it did not have enough seasoning. We all asked for salt. Very nice mixed green salad and basket of various breads. Good wine and service. Perhaps if we had been a little more adventurous we would have enjoyed the dish more. I will go back to try something else because it is a lovely restaurant.

The waiter was very brusque. The cacio e pepe was served cool, already turning glutinous sticky. The prawns were very good. The price was reasonable.

Excellent dinner menu, cocktail and wine selections and overall dining experience. Manager/owner was beyond helpful. We’ll be back again and again with local friends and family.
