On arrival we were showed our table which was right next to another table sitting on top of each other very confined with tables very close to each other food was good but no one came to see if we wanted any more drinks after our first order before meals

great place great vibe just felt that the staff where quiet rude we had a booking and got told to wait outside for 10 minutes then we sat at our table not given any menus then when we went to ask for a menu one of the staff members was extremely rude, then we wanted about half an hour to be served then our food come about 20 mins before our drinks , not to mention the staff where looking at us and just wouldn’t take our order , food was good no complaints there and definitely a nice vibe just thought the customer service was poor and has made me not want to go back.

This place has a fabulous energy it’s lots of fun , great staff who are attentive and well trained. Gorgeous food full of flavor, a definite visit if you love Mexican

The food was beautiful but the portion sizes were small. We were sitting out the back in the little shed, it was quieter. The music was too loud in the front area.

Food was amazing!! Thank you so much! Had the best Mother’s Day!! Can’t wait to come back again for those fish tacos and ceviche. So good!!

Service was poor. The seating and tables were tight. The food was great but so overpriced. The margaritas were average. The music was so loud we could barely hear each other. We weren’t impressed.

Don Pedros Umina Beach is a must do for all visitors to Umina and lovers of modern Mexican food. Great food, great atmosphere and a cocktail to start the dining experience. Located on West street in the Umina shopping strip, it is an easy walk to and from Ocean beach. Perfect for any time.

I was really looking forward to Don Pedro’s as I love Mexican food and had seen a lot of hype upon its opening. We arrived around 6:30 pm on Friday and the restaurant was jam packed. The tables were so close together it was awkward to move around and the noise was like being in a night club. Between the loud music and the amount of people, I couldn’t hear my partner at all unless we were yelling. I really don’t enjoy being squished near other people I find it uncomfortable. It took a while to be served and once we were we were offered water and I ensured to order drinks at the same time as I had a feeling it would be a while. Drinks were served reasonably fast, I had a coconut margarita which is probably the best I have ever had! Unfortunately we then didn’t get served after that for another 35 minutes so we did not order any food, we decided to leave and get take away as the ambiance just wasn’t ideal for us. Overall I think the size of the venue is much too small for the level of patrons and being that it is only just two weeks old the service is still in its infancy. I will definitely go back but I think I’ll give them a few months before I return.

We made a booking and we turned up on time. they didn’t have a table for us and just told us to wait at the bar. They placed us at a temporary table right by the door which was awkward. They were too busy and didn’t even tell us about the specials that night. We decided to leave and come back another time when it wasn’t so busy and we might get a table we had booked for. Bit disappointed

For the second day of opening it was absolutely amazing, the staff is so kind and wonderful ! The food was top tier and the drinks were delicious will definitely be returning !!!

Delicious tacos, corn and cocktails. Great vibe and not too noisy so could actually have a conversation. I hope it stays that way. They've done a fabulous job creating space to put more tables in, even in wet weather. The outdoor space will be fabulous on a dry summer evening or winter day.
