    A whimsical 7-course tasting menu designed by Chef Victor He, inspired by core memories and presented with playful creativity. The first course is served in handcrafted steamer baskets lined with colorful patterned fabrics. The romantic room, adorned with hand-made maple tables embedded with real dried flowers, sets the stage for a delightful journey through Chef Victor He's imaginative culinary creations, leaving guests with hearts full of joy and the child within happily content.

    It was Mother's Day and I visited the restaurant with my wife and mother in law. We were 5/10 minutes late for our reservation, which worked out and restaurant was still able to accommodate us. We had ordered 3 starters and 2 main courses. Coffee came shortly after the orders were placed. We then waited for around 45 minutes and one of the main courses came. I then advised that we have not received any of the starters and this main course is the first item we're receiving. Asked if this is normal. She dropped off the main and said she'd go check and let us know. She seemed concerned as well. We then saw her speaking with one of the chefs and seemed confused. We did not hear anything back at all and after another 10 minutes or so, 2 of the 3 starters came. It looked like the chef had to redo one of the dishes because it was burnt while he was talking to the server. We've had no explanation or even a "sorry" for this. We witness 3 other tables having their food arrived, ate, paid, and leave while we were there. After we've paid, apparently the server who brought us the bill turned around and rolled her eyes as well. We did not even made any complains about the meal. We also saw a poor kid who brought his mother, and waited outside the restaurant patiently for a long time while the restaurant was 3/5 empty. It was also north of 45 minutes. He came back inside to check on the status, and was told by the server that she actually tried calling him but couldn't reach him. He checked his phone and confirmed there was no missed calls. He was also waiting outside of the restaurant the entire time. In all fairness, the decor of the restaurant is nice. Food tasted fine but the timeliness of the food and service ruined the meal. Happy Mother's Day........

    Wow what a hidden gem! Small lil place but packed with art and delicious food! Victor the owner/chef is so talented! I loved the presentation of all the dishes! His resin made tables and moss decor was so beautiful what an artist! I look forward to coming back and trying other menu items! When grandma was here was such a delicious dish def brought back childhood memories.

    I had an amazing experience at Don. Even before I had a bite of their food, I was in awe over the warm ambience that greets you upon entry, as well as the kind staff that was there for my every need. I went on a Saturday night, which was busy nonetheless, but was well worth every minute spent there. They had some live music which added to the whole atmosphere, which I thought was very special. I had ordered this month's set menu, I believe it was called Childhood Memories, and I was pleased with every bite. I would totally recommend trying this taster menu before the month ends! I also had a chance to talk to the head chef, Victor, and he was so candid about his experience designing and creating the menu, as well as talking about the handmade details that went into the restaurant itself! He'd talked about how he had grown and picked the flowers for the tables, and crafted the tables himself- how amazing! It was really cool to also get a glimpse of what's going on behind the scenes. I will definitely be back to try their other items on the regular menu!

    Victor and his team were excellent hosts. The food was exceptional - we did the set menu. Every course was a highlight, but the lobster wonton soup was a clear standout as a unique and tasty dish. The smoked duck salad was also phenomenal. Better yet, we had a wonderful conversation with Victor after we were finished the meal about his exciting plans for the future of the restaurant, and some of the influences behind the set menu. Highly recommend that you get to this location before it gets too popular for you to find a reservation!

    If you're in search of a unique dining experience in Vancouver, look no further than the set menu at Don called Chapter 1 - Childhood Memories.     Don at Kitsilano was an amazing restaurant. It had delicious food and friendly service. The place was cozy and welcoming. People loved eating there because everything tasted so good. It was a special spot where everyone left happy and satisfied.

    We went for a late brunch at Don with our young son. The food fitted our appetite very much. The Asian style cuisine really impressed us. My son had more food than usual. We will definitely come back again.

    Food was amazing! Elevated and creative cooking of dishes that reminded me of childhood favourites. A cocktail or glass of wine would have been even better.
