The dining room sounds very noisy so we were happy to be seated in the bar for dinner. I asked for a candle because our table only was in a dark corner, it was a table for 4. The temperature in the bar was warm and did not seem to ever cool down. After eating a warm entee one of my guests actually holding her hair off her neck due to the warmth in the room. Two of us ordered the same salad that read goat cheese, there was no taste of goat cheese and we made a comment to our server. We were pleased at the end of the meal when presented with the bill that the salads were removed from our tab. The entrees were very good and service was good, although the person bringing out our food each time had to be directed by us, who ordered which one. Our experience was just not quite what I would expect from an established high end restaurant. I would go again as I live within walking distance, but would go with this not so stellar experience in mind.

I never try to leave poor reviews. However my recent reservation at Dolce Riviera has been one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. We had a reservation booked online for 2:30 pm. When we arrived they informed us their kitchen closed promptly at 2:45. Why would you have a reservation available for 2:30 if your kitchen closes 15 minutes after that? We were rushed to order. The food came out either under or over cooked. On top of that, they were out of beer and 2 different types of liquors so ordering drinks was difficult. They messed up our drink order twice. They say reservations are allotted 2 hrs however we were being rushed to leave 1.5 hrs in. The cherry on top of it all, was that the AC had to be broken or something - it was so warm inside we were sweating. I wouldn’t recommend this place ever and am shocked it’s still operating.

We received the worst customer service at our recent brunch here. We made a reservation for the first seating and ordered drinks after our server spent 10 minutes reading the menu to us. He came back two minutes later and told us to hurry up and order because he had some big tables coming in soon. I have waited tables before, and it's the server's responsibility to manage timing and tables, not his customer's job. Upon ordering, our server told us to order everything at once so he could properly course out the food. We did so and ordered an appetizer, which we asked to come out first before the other food. Instead, the appetizer came with the rest of our food. When I asked why it didn't come out first as requested, he said he couldn't control when things came out of the kitchen--then why make a big deal about how we order things? Finally, upon receiving our bill, there was a charge for sausage on it. None of us ordered sausage. When I asked about it, the manager told me it came with the frittata I ordered. I asked why I was being charged extra if it was something that came with my meal, and she acted like this was just an additional item and cost they just add whenever someone orders the frittata. This makes no sense at all and isn't disclosed on the menu. We will not return. The patio is lovely and most of my table enjoyed their food. It's a shame the customer service ruins the experience.

When Dolce Riviera first opened it was amazing- food, service, attitude, atmosphere and decor- 5 stars. We lived walking distance from the location and used to go there 2 to 3 times a week with neighbors and friends. Within 2 years it began to decline and we stopped going. I’d heard recently it was “back” and based on that went for brunch yesterday, on time, for a 12:45 reservation. We stood at the reception desk for over ten minutes before anyone came to the front to greet us. It took 20 minutes for a server to come over, 15 minutes to receive our drink order, and our server was between abrupt and surly in his delivery. The food was good, but that was the extent of their success on this visit. This should be one of the best restaurants in the city as it was when it first opened, when one saw the owner almost every evening after work at a table with family and business associates. It shouldn’t take that kind of presence for the management to perform.

This was the most authentic Italian mean and wine we have had since our trip to Italy! And the service was superb!

My first time there. Only issue was when we were to be seated the beach we had was very dirty. No one cleaned it prior. Also our server may have had a bad day. This simple request water, we were all out. It was a hot day just took us asking twice or more ,ice never made it to the table food item never showed up.
